May 7th 2009 12:00AM I must seriously be missing something here with the Tri-Spec thing. How does having 3 Pre-Defined specs make me lose originality? because paying 50g to move those talents to the next tree over is somehow ENTIRELY different than pressing a button and waiting 10 seconds?
Effectively the difference is:
2) Time Investment
What any of this has to do with "ORIGINALITY" I don't think i'm ever going to understand... And to his comment about giving everyone every talent...
Wat? How does that even follow the same path as three INDIVIDUAL specs? I get that they want the game to still pose SOME sort of challenge and have you spend SOME time in the game so you remain addicted, but come on... these are not REASONS for no tri-spec.
However, the design portion -- clearly there's no argument for that. If it's a design issue oh well, we don't "need" 3 spec's anyways. But I don't understand why some of you seem to think it's "hurtful" to have more than 2 specs.
Sep 23rd 2008 4:10PM Yep, precisely. Paladins rely on critical heals for mana regen / stablility, thus requiring a lower threat for critical heals (and overall healing) to match that of other single-target healing, without destorying the mana pool.
Not sure what the other guy is talking about heal tanking as a paladin in WoW Pre-BC... (tanking was not ever viable pre-pc for paladins until they added the Divine Presence. And even then the gear just wans't there.)
