Nov 22nd 2010 10:00PM @Pyromelter I'm still sad they "fixed" the naming bug. My "RecycledBeer" doesn't follow me around now.

Nov 1st 2010 10:43PM Enhancement has for some reason always been the least of Blizzard's concerns for some time. I felt so outpaced by all other melee dps that with 4.01 I finally gave up on it after sticking with it since vanilla. With a mix match set of ilvl 245 pieces I was doing more dps as elemental than I was with a 4 pc t10 as enhance, so I threw in the towel. I'm still hoping someone at Blizzard takes notice and finally throws a bone to enhance because I am going to miss it if stays as is.

Oct 15th 2010 1:22PM I completely agree with you on this. I still dont understand why we can't have a tree form with no bonuses and the ent form as panic CD. That would be even more epic, tiny tree morphs into super tree to show you've grown in power. Druids to me are all about alternate forms, being in caster form just feels lame.
Oct 10th 2010 3:25PM Anyone else order the stream but now unable to access the sale or login to the blizzcon.rayv.com site?

I agree with you on the thought that adding WotLK to the battle chest would go a long way towards allowing new players to jump right in. Ultimately they want everyone to play to lvl cap and buy each expansion, but as it stands right now that divide from initial investment to seasoned player is getting a bit large.
And you may be right to say that Blizzard doesn't owe them anything, but I would think it better service to the customer to at least give them something. Would it have really been so hard to allow the lvl 60 version of Onyxia to stay in game? They have the technology to do it as can be shown by VC and SFK being available to low levels and then separately tuned for lvl 85s on Heroic come Cataclysm.
Oct 1st 2010 4:52PM I have both BC and WotLK. I wasn't really complaining, just asking a question that I couldn't personally find any information about. I also appreciate Michael Sacco's response, regardless of whether it was tongue in cheek or not. I just find it odd that Blizzard is disregarding the fact that there are paying customers out there that are getting the shaft with this expansion. It would be one thing to tell people they can't get new content unless they pay for an upgrade, but another to take something away from people to force them to pay you additional money to get it back. On the flip side of my original question I posted, I think the entry fee of buying a game and 3 expansions just to get into a game is probably cost prohibitive to many that might normally get on the monthly payment treadmill. I have a couple of friends that I have been trying to convince to give it a try but they all balk at having to pay almost $100 to start playing before they start paying $15 a month. Not really complaining myself as I have paid for them and enjoyed the game over the last 5 years but dont agree with the direction that Blizzard is going in regarding loyal paying customers.
Sep 30th 2010 1:48PM Has Blizzard said anything about providing vanilla owners anything to make up for the loss of everything they have taken away from them? As it stands right now a lvl 60 player on a vanilla account can have a character that can at least get their 51 point talent in a particular tree. They also have the choice of several level 60 raids to run, they lost two with WotLK (Ony and Naxx) and they will be losing another come Cataclysm (ZG). I understand that Blizzard wants to sell expansions and make money on those sales, but right now they seem to just be slowly breaking a game that people paid money for and continue to pay them for on a monthly basis. I understand that the old world is almost completely re-done, but at the same time they seem to be taking the Sony route and removing features that you paid for after the fact. As a somewhat related side note, have they said anything about not requiring the separate purchase of all of the expansions for a newcomer to play? Right now its about $90 to get started on playing to level 80 and come Cataclysm it will be approximately $140 for a fresh account.
Aug 25th 2010 7:27PM I actually have 8 lvl 80s with Rogue and Warrior being two I don't have. I simply dont like playing classes where I dont have anything to do for periods of time in my rotation. I tried several times to level both of them but got bored with the whole waiting for regen to do something. I hated feral on my druid and refuse to spec it. Having empty GCDs feels too much like a character at start where you only have one thing to do and then wait to do it again. I just dont enjoy the play style of waiting to do something. The point of my original post is that if they want the classes to be different then dont make them feel the same when playing them.
