Class Q&A: Rogue {WoW}

Aug 3rd 2009 4:59PM Vanish should make rogues 'immune' to any damage except for AOE for 1 second and force anything targetting them to untarget for at least that one second. This would fix the vanishing while an ice lance is on its way to hitting you type problem and pets still finding/following/attacking you when they are your level or lower.

Quitting smoking in Azeroth {WoW}

Aug 3rd 2009 4:50PM I tried quitting smoking a few times but my withdrawal symptoms after the 3rd day always make me bedridden ill for weeks at a time. Quit a few times while at a job i've been at for 5yrs and they always ask me not to quit because then I'm not normally able to work lol.

I switched to electronic cigarettes and they are soo nice. Smoked 1-2packs/day for over 10yrs and i've already noticed more energy, senses returning to normal, and am starting to breath normally again (grew up with asthma), no chest pains the next day if I smoke too much or anything. The major ingredients are FDA GRAS and the few if any other chemicals (also found in cigarettes) exist in at worst 50% of samples tested rather than 100% of reg cigs, and those samples with the chemicals were in doses that are generally unharmful.

E-cigs aren't meant to be a quit smoking aid, although many have found it to work well as a cessation aid, they are simply a safter alternative to smoking. Because e-cigs have no 'smoke', they are already 100x safer and up to 90% cheaper. Why leveling will always be important to WoW {WoW}

Jul 17th 2009 1:18PM What if blizz came up with 'tutorial zones' that had some questline for each class. If you level one character to 80, you can start any class at 55 and level through a tutorial zone from 55-58/60. It would teach you about basic skills and techniques that every class learns by 60 instead of 'figuring it out'. Have questlines for druids, mages, rogues, etc, that tell you to use 'a' ability on 'b' mob, etc.

Yes everybody new to the game should level from 1-80 at least once to learn about the game itself, but after the 2nd time it could get rather dull to do the 1-60 if you don't recruit a friend and i know i never want to do it again. I have 3 characters that haven't reached 50 yet, otherwise i have leveled every class to 65-80. I actually don't need this new feature since i already have most classes past 60, but i do think about changing races and leveling again.

Jun 3rd 2009 5:50PM How about on pvp servers - if alliance raid, lets say org, and they kill thrall - horde have to re-take org by killing spawned npcs or something. should make the pvp servers a little more active when it comes to defending their cities. either defend it, or you wont be able to use the city services until it is re-taken. maybe give all horde in a city being captured a lifelong debuff until the city is taken back or something. if the city is captured everyone who dies in pvp auto-rezzez at the GY so they can prepare to fight back.

Mining mechanics changed, one hit per node {WoW}

Jan 7th 2009 7:36PM This makes it so much easier for me to go back and mine to level my blacksmithing instead of having mining/skinning. Always wanted to, but takes forever to mine all the ore you need because you have to sit there at one node to get 4 ore when I could already be on my way to the next one.

The bad part is now I would need an epic flyer or be very lucky to find any nodes in outland/northrend when i'm doing the mining to make enough money for the mount in the first place. I only get what nodes I do now because of the fact the guys on epic mounts have to sit and wait so I get enough time to make it to the next node first.

Guess I'll just worry bout that at 80 (4 more levels yay) instead of trying to have the gold at 77 so I can just include dailys towards my epic flying skill.

Nov 10th 2008 5:15PM I usually gank when I can't find anyone my own level in hopes of meeting their mains or higher level friends for a nice world pvp battle. On occasion it starts a battle royal between TM and SS with a 10-20 man raid of each faction going at it, which I find more satisfying than doing bg's. It's the fun part of the game for me.

Should L70 players be able to start a L55 class of their choice? {WoW}

Oct 19th 2008 10:36PM Yes, anyone with a lvl 70 should be able to start any other class at 55. All their alts should be able to start at lvl 55, not just 1, and on any server (paid character move is BS, im not doin it). Make it an option on the character selection screen which level to start at. Give every class a template of gear (un-vendorable), or a new questline for the gear such as a deathknight. Nomatter what, everyone WILL have to explore all 1-70 content before they can create a new lvl 55 anyway, so subscription time really is no issue at all. Most people with time on their hands who want an alt can level them 1-55 in just a few days pretty easily, so at worst, there would be 1 month lost per person if anything at all.

Anywho, I support this. =)

Warlock changes in Beta build 8982 {WoW}

Sep 25th 2008 6:08PM 1. Self healing is what makes warlocks so strong as a pure dps/utility class. No healing is useless (except the 20% healing return on haunt). If it does stay and work at 200% healing, that's a 2-3k+ heal (haunt does 900-1.5k dmg w/my crappy gear) every 12 seconds. No longer will dark pact really be needed, save the accidental 10+ mobs at once pull while normally doing 4-5 at a time. Should haunt actually work and keep 200% healing, I will prob never spec anything else unless they up the proc rate on soul leech or heal amount. Now that is a pretty worthless talent. 55/11/5 or 0/17/54 - cant wait.

2. Still 10% more dmg is 10% more dmg. If compared to live, it is buffed so thats all that matters.

3. I haven't specced deaths embrace or malediction yet. Find other things much better for solo/pvp play, but eradication seems to work for me.

With haunt not working and metamorphosis not working, I've been learning to love the destruction tree. Never really played it much in my entire lock career, but something about seein 4-5k crits on a regular basis with my sub-par gear brings a smile to my face.

Blizzard tosses Priest racials out the window {WoW}

Sep 16th 2008 12:29PM Please say touch of weakness or (preferably) shadowguard will be a passive ability for shadowform PLEASE!! I definitely won't play a priest anymore if my 10% chance per hit of escape is gone with blackout unless they do something amazing for shadowpriests. Give fade its snare removal back or something. Idk. goodluck all you non-disc priests.
