Oct 12th 2007 4:37PM I play a mage, so I generally don't mark targets much. I have found that many different players go with many different patterns in their kills, but as long as the marker tells which order to go in, I'm fine. Even in worst case scenarios, I'll just find the tank's target and blast away. I do, however, prefer to have moon for my polymorph, though I don't really know why, lol.
Oct 10th 2007 6:26PM Samuel Smith's Taddy Porter. It has the full flavor and dark color of a stout, but goes down smoother even as it fills you up, like any good ale should!
Besides, if you can see through your glass, you just aren't getting the full beer!
Oct 10th 2007 2:52PM @ Nick Thomas:
Be careful how you interpret polls, particularly polls on fan sites. Not everyone interprets the word 'hate' the same. Case in point "I have homework" "I hate (insert minority of choice here, and I'll slaughter each and every one I find like a dog before parading their desecrated corpse down the street."
I'm pretty sure there are some people in the poll that say they 'hate' the other faction mean it largely in a tongue-in-cheek sort of way, but there are probably those who would attack every opposing faction character they can, even if they just saved their life by taking down a mob that was about to kill them. I don't however think most who say they "hate" the other faction would punch someone in the face irl just because they play a character that is horde/alliance.
I personally find it a bit disturbing that you can interpret humanity as a whole by a poll such as this. Wow is after all just a game and this is just a gaming fansite.
Oct 9th 2007 8:22PM Idk, the answer seems simple to me:
Blizzard wants the mount to be an reward for those who have worked hard for it. Therefore instead of making them work hard grinding for money, make them grind through some long quest chain to collect items or some special rep.
Oct 9th 2007 8:16PM I still need to read more into the lore of WoW. I've read about 4 books and from what I can tell Thrall of the orcs (which seems to be one of if not the head honcho of the Horde) does not hate the humans, but only fights against them in protection of his people. Neither the alliance or the Horde really seem to be the 'bad guys' even though the Horde might carry that rep since they are both against the Burning Legion.
While I don't expect the Horde and the alliance, I don't quite understand why the Horde and alliance are supposed to be so grudgingly against eachother. But then again, I also don't understand how Thrall would allow any Orcs to continue to become Warlocks, let alone any other leader of a faction opposing the Burning Legion.
Oh well, back to the books I go.
Oct 8th 2007 1:36AM As much as I share the ad nausea that many others here have, I still got a good laugh out of this. If a company is going to advertise to me, they better make it worth my time. I don't want a ton of flyers stuffed under my nose, I don't want to see the same commercial I've seen a billion and one times, I want something that will actually stimulate my mind in some way. This ad does it. Will I actually buy a ford now? No. I'm a Jeep person.
Oct 6th 2007 4:14PM While this does have kind of a nostalgic value of on Halo Warthog Launches, the tricks aren't near as impressive. Still, it was a fun vid to watch.
Oct 5th 2007 8:56AM Blizzard still needs to do something to recompensate for the fact that players haven't been able to earn near as many tickets as they should.
Personally, however, I won't mind at all if the Dark Iron Dwarf feature never comes back. Each time I did it, the combination of drunk screen effects, tons of drill things popping up, and the high amount of people in attendance resulted in me having to try to hit things at 3 frames per second...which was neither fun nor profitable.
Personally I think they should make all the one time only quests daily quests, but change the reward for multiple completion to tickets. That seems like it would be easiest way for them to fix this.
Oct 4th 2007 9:22AM Oh...I see....they are recompensating by increasing the ticket reward for the Bark quest.....
TOO BAD THE QUEST IS STILL BROKEN.
I know it's worked for some people, but many people such as myself on my server still aren't able to get the quest to update.
As for the dark iron dwarves being removed, I could care less. Everytime they popped up, the animation along with the large amount of people present and the drunk effects on screen would drop my framerate to 3 fps, essentially making it near impossible to earn any tickets.
Oct 3rd 2007 4:30PM Yup, further proof that no matter how many time and/or resources are provided, human beings along with all their creations are still prone to error. So it goes.
