Jul 26th 2011 1:52AM Y'know, Tyler, I actually enjoyed the article. Not laugh-out-loud hilarious by any means, but amusing enough to crack a wry grin. This follow-up comment, though? That's kind of a dick move, man. You're not writing for yourself here. Writing humor is supposed to at least try to make the reader laugh, not just the writer. Anything less is just common, juvenile trolling. Next time someone asks you for a favor by covering for an absence, don't use it as an excuse to deliberately churn out drek for the sake of a cheap, selfish laugh. If that's all you're after, just say no and let him/her find someone else. That person's readers deserve better.
Jul 9th 2011 3:22AM There's nothing to indicate that this is the case, though. The Avengers signets are simply labelled "Unique-Equipped". There's nothing saying that they're grouped together and mutually exclusive. By contrast, the VP rings *do* have such a restriction. All of them are labelled "Unique-Equipped: Brimstone Ring (1)". Unless there's a serious flaw in the tooltips of the rep rings, we can use them both.
Jun 17th 2011 11:33PM I thought the energy gain from Lunar Shower was independent of buff stacks. Meaning, it doesn't matter whether you have any stacks of LS or not, you're still gaining energy. So the /cancelaura macro wouldn't do anything. Was I misinformed?
Jun 1st 2011 12:54PM Rogues do not need to be above everyone else on the meters. They need to be *tied* with every other DPS spec. Really, the fact that this same annoying and entirely untrue point keeps coming up only illustrates why the entire concept of "pure" classes is a design failure. Rift and SWTOR had the right idea in making every class a hybrid; they get to avoid all this nonsense.
May 6th 2011 3:50PM The druid four-piece bonus is pretty terrible overall. Engineering a Lifebloom pop to occur at a time when its healing is actually needed is exceedingly difficult, given the ten-second delay which resets when you cast almost anything on its target. Even if the main target of the bloom needs the health, are there two other people nearby who also do? At what range? It's clearly nothing more than fodder for the overhealing meters.
Sure, it might have some very situational use when Tree of Life is up, but personally I'd like a set bonus that's useful for the whole fight, rather than 16% of it at most. And even its usage under Tree isn't that great. How many GCDs did you spend to set up that Lifebloom blanket? How much mana? Sure, you'll get to recoup some of your costs, but Lifebloom will never be a net mana gain to cast. It seems like it would be far more effective and efficient to simply use standard AoE healing techniques instead of this clumsy, complicated hack of an idea.
Feb 22nd 2011 9:27PM I don't even want a targetable Barkskin as a Resto-specific thing. I don't want to lose my ability to mitigate my own incoming damage so that I can save the tank. Whatever it is that we get needs to be a completely new ability, not something that costs us the ability to do something else. Saving the tank vs doing something else isn't a choice at all. You save the tank, period.
Feb 17th 2011 8:15PM No, you can't. The buttons are hard-coded to act as if you pressed a number key with the same value as printed on the mouse. So clicking the "5" button on the mouse acts just like you pushed "5" on your keyboard. The only control you have is whether it acts like the number row above your letter keys or the numeric keypad on the right side of your keyboard.
Feb 17th 2011 7:23PM If you're a Grid+Clique healer thinking about getting one of these, don't. There's no support for click-casting or mouseover-casting unless you specifically create macro to do so for each and every button. I don't know about you, but I use my limited macro slots for things other than prepending "[@mouseover]" to every single spell on my bar. Some of the other healer raid frames may work better with the Naga, but not those.

Nov 6th 2010 8:24PM That sounds an awful like cooperating with a dirty warlock. We don't need their smelly help to light things on fire! SHUN THE UNBELIEVER!
