Breakfast Topic: Excited about the new 5-man? {WoW}

Jul 11th 2009 1:11PM NVM, you were talking about the raid, but it's still not as elaborate as Ulduar

Breakfast Topic: Excited about the new 5-man? {WoW}

Jul 11th 2009 1:09PM actually it is, you stay in the same spot for all the fights, you are thinking of the raid, not the 5-man

Changes in the 3.1 live patch notes {WoW}

Apr 14th 2009 1:42AM as of the build before last, they did fix the vendoring issue, now whether or not the equipment manager is going live, we'll have to wait and see!

Addon Spotlight: Alternatives to Outfitter {WoW}

Mar 24th 2009 4:21PM The Blizzard gear manager is easy, first save your gear set, then using that EXACT name (ie. Prot), create the following macro:

/equipset Prot

If you want to switch talent specs, the you will need to add that to it also, so let's assume Prot is your primary spec and Ret is your secondary AND you want to swap gear at the same time you swap specs, then your macro would be:

For Prot:

/equipset Prot
/usetalents 1

For Ret:

/equipset Ret
/usetalents 2

Again, on the /equipset macro, you have to use the EXACT name that you saved your gear as, and it is case-sensitive

Hope this helps for those that don't need all the bells and whistles of a simple gear/spec change. :)

All Blizzard forums are again locked {WoW}

Nov 12th 2008 3:24PM ok, so you have a point, but then again, if you expect to be notified of things that are going on, you have to take the bad posts with the good, even if it is 100000000000000000+ posts. You can also systematically delete those posts when they come up.

All Blizzard forums are again locked {WoW}

Nov 12th 2008 3:14PM OK, I understand locking the forums, but why lock the BUG REPORT forum? The game is live and active, therefore we have bugs to report and seeing as how we are most likely their only production bug reporters, then the bug report forum should NOT be locked.

The 16GB iPhone? Nope, don't be a fool {Engadget}

Nov 19th 2007 4:00AM Actually, hand placement has no bearing on EDGE speed. The speed of the EDGE network fluctuates constantly even when you stand in the same spot. I performed 10 network tests holding the iPhone like I was talking on the phone and 10 network tests holding the iPhone at the corner by the Home button. Out of those results:

Holding normally: 192.9 - 214.4 - 164.1 - 169 - 180.1 - 232 - 182.3 - 240.8 - 182.3 - 208.7
Holding at corner: 156.6 - 211.4 - 198.7 - 122.4 - 212.5 - 219.7 - 186.5 - 187.7 - 187.5 - 230

Average speed holding normally: 196.66
Average speed holding at corner: 191.3

So you might say that it's slower holding it by the corner. Again, it makes no difference how you hold it, it's just how EDGE works. It sucks!
