How did you discover World of Warcraft? {WoW}

Apr 14th 2011 1:41AM My roomate back 2004 was a big Warcraft fan like myself and kept talking about this new mmorpg that was coming out. One day on a news site I see that there is opened for signups for the US open beta. So I hurry up and signup.

I have been addicted every since.

The Care and Feeding of Warriors: Six years of trends {WoW}

Nov 28th 2010 5:55AM Haha queuing will be faster for tanks. Are there realms where tanks dont get instaqueues?

Breakfast Topic: Altphobia {WoW}

May 30th 2010 8:40AM I started with a rogue as main in vanilla then rerolled druid. In tbc I stayed on the druid halfway through tbc I rerolled paladin. In Wotlk I started with paladin as main and then went back to druid who is now a kingslayer. It would be lovely if achievements were boa so my 8 lvl 80s could all have cool titles ;)

Ask WoW Insider: Do you tip your tank? {WoW}

Dec 28th 2007 8:36PM I think this is a relevant issue, especially when seeing how modern pvp works.
A warrior has to be prot to tank and he has to be arms/fury to do anything in arenas.
So a warrior that wants to do both spends tons of cash respeccing. I think most raiding warriors are at the respeccing cap and using it at least a few days weekly.
Instances like ZA sets quite high requirements for the MT for it to go smoothly, so paying a t6 geared warrior to respec prot might save you a lot of gold on repairs compared to bringing a tank with only t4 for example :)
But do we want tanks to start acting like mercenaries benefitting from the fact that there is always too few of them?
I think instead blizzard should make repaircosts the same on all armortypes and perhaps nerf the costs of respeccing. And perhaps even make some pvpfriendly tanking builds :)

Shifting Perspectives: The forgotten feral form {WoW}

Dec 4th 2007 7:01PM Being a feraldruid myself I have always been soloing as cat ofc since that offers good dps. And in instances raids I have been a bear and I love tanking.

Cats might be versatile, but in a group with a bear tanking already they are not that useful. You already have gotw and the mangle debuff.
Cats dont have any crowdcontrol in instances, which makes rogues the better choice + rogues have blind and vanish furthermore rogues scale a lot better with gear so will usually also be better dps.

Enhancement shamans do atleast bring totems that can both be a good dps boost and save you from those pesky fearing mobs.

Oct 10th 2007 12:27PM umm. the episode where he mentions himself being lvl 75 is from before the burning crusade came out. But yeah it could be an alternate universe and or time, as we know there is a lot of those in stargate.

and the last time it was mentioned was when that same guy talks about him having a mage, and Elizabeth Weir succeeds in distracting him by claiming to be a player herself.
