Jun 17th 2008 4:37PM Yes, all Vindicator items will be available in Season 4. To quote Drysc again:
"Yes, the Season 3 honor items will still be available for purchase without a rating requirement after Season 4 starts.
There will be two sets of "non-set" items once Season 4 begins. The Season 4 honor items (boot/belt/bracer/etc) some of which will require a rating, and the Season 3 items (boot/belt/bracer/etc) which still won't require any rating.
Just to sum up, when Season 4 begins:
Season 1 honor set: Removed
Season 2 arena set: Moved to honor, no rating requirement
Season 3 non-set honor items: Staying
Season 3 arena set: Arena rating and cost requirements lowered
Season 4 non-set honor items: Added with rating requirement
Season 4 arena set: Added to Arena with increased rating requirement"
Jun 17th 2008 3:14PM Sadly you're wrong. Only the Merciless gear will be available for honor in S4. As you know, Veteran's and Vindicator's are currently available for honor. As from S4 only Vindicator's and Guardian's will be available for honor, as per posts from Drysc.
Jun 17th 2008 8:22AM Found this quote from Drysc on the subject:
"Possibly, we haven't announced or even decided on anything final whatsoever, but it really doesn't matter how much the XP curve is increased. The important factor is how much XP you'll be getting from the quests and kills.
You can make the bucket 10x bigger, but if the water filling up the bucket increases comparably then it's really no different. What that does though is makes older water sources less desirable to fill your bucket from."
As you can see, they will be actively discouraging people from levelling via Outland quests by making it inefficient to do so.
Jun 17th 2008 8:10AM "Since it takes 779,700 experience points to go from level 69 to 70, I suspect it'll be around 850,000 to get from 7o to 71."
Blizzard have indicated that 70-71 will be significantly more than 69-70, more like 1.2 million xp if I recall correctly. Quests and mobs in Northrend will give correspondingly more xp, much as Outland mobs/quests do. This is intended to push people into Northrend to level up, rather than camping out in Shadowmoon, etc until 72-73.
Jun 16th 2008 8:38AM It's already been alluded to with the comment on Tuxedo Pants, etc, but it's worth finding a selection of gear that doesn't bind on use. You can then enchant it with the best available and freely share it amongst your toons. Tuxedo pants with Nethercobra Leg Armor, Tux Jacket with +100 Health, Frayed Shoes with +7 AGI, and some white weapons with Crusader/Fiery/Lifestealing/etc, will set up your melee classes just fine for 10-20 levels. Similarly, you can have a set for casters with Runic Spellthread and appropriate enchants. Remember, cloth can be worn by all classes and with twinked out enchants you won't miss a little armor class even on warriors.
Jun 12th 2008 4:23AM Remember that if you really are starting from scratch, the Vindicator items (neck, ring, bracers, belt and boots) will be available during S4 for a reduced honor cost (same as Veteran's currently), and with no personal rating requirement.
Also, if you don't expect to get a 1700 rated Arena team (inc. personal rating) buy your Veteran's Band before S4 hits as it will no longer be available, and may be your best chance to get two PvP rings.
May 29th 2008 8:42AM My most recent 70 dinged 58 in Azshara, having never bothered going to Burning Steppes, Un'Goro or Silithis. He dinged 70 in Netherstorm 3 weeks ago and has only been to Shadowmoon Valley once, to buy his Epic Flying Mount.

Apr 22nd 2008 11:48AM I have to say I thought Blizzard had really failed when after 2.4 we still have 7-10 min wait times on the 2v2 queues. But then, unexpectedly one weekend they suddenly went down to 5-30 secs... and stayed there! I can play pretty much any time of the day or night in Blackout Battlegroup and queues are always under 30s. So, yes, here in Europe at least some of us have fabulously short queue times which means Arena is once again a fast-paced affair.
Now, can they please do something about that seemingly interminable 60s preparation time AFTER you enter the Arena...! ;) [Warrior speaking - don't need a minute to cast Commanding Shout and Battle Shout then mount up]
Apr 22nd 2008 8:52AM The bitch is, after many many hours of grinding these mobs (which are aggressive to me) the damned thing still hasn't dropped for me. Let us know when you get it :)
