Music game sales continue plunge down the charts {Joystiq}

Nov 20th 2010 1:41AM music games are finished. not much more you can improve or get out the genre. the real money now is dance games. Dance central just dance and such. it has already shown that people are into it with just dance going over a million

Review: Singularity {Joystiq}

Jun 28th 2010 11:36PM sigh why the change to arbitrary number system? I respected that you would have your review do the talking instead of this number system.

metacritic and it rating aggregates suck. as they are used in every damn flame war between games not even in the same genre and even developers are having their bonuses tied to them, which invite so much begging. the marketers and companies shunning you for a reasonable score which they require either a 4 or 5 stars otherwise you are not invited to a sneak peek. there is no need for this and i think joystiq should revert back.

on the review seem like a interesting premise with bad execution. too bad really. i subscribe to the nintendo line of thought. Build gameplay first and work on it till it smooth and fun. then build a story around it. gameplay can sustain a game while story will not. i will probably look to in steam when it goes on sale

Preview: GoldenEye 007 (multiplayer) {Joystiq}

Preview: GoldenEye 007 (multiplayer) {Joystiq}

Jun 19th 2010 10:30PM a heaping lots of nostalgia. but to be fair it on a platform that is more lacking on the FPS side than the xbox or the PS3.
what i hope is that the mission objective format is kept with difficulty curve increasing what you have to do. time trails of course for cheat codes. and lastly my favorite. context sensitive shooting reaction. meaning i shoot his hand he starts cradling it. best part of the old golden eye was shoot one hand shoot other hand shoot hat off his head and then go for the mercy headshot

Japan juiced for Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective {Joystiq}

Jun 12th 2010 12:27AM ever since i saw the trailer. this is a must have on my DS. it has the quirkiness of phoenix wright and very interesting gameplay

Prince of Persia movie opens with $37.8M domestically [Update] {Joystiq}

May 31st 2010 10:27PM it only had two things from the game. the dagger and the hourglass. otherwise dialogue was mediocre. the relationship seemed forced. and no "time is like ocean" speech which is replaced by the cliche destiny mantra. and the ending was just awful and there was no kakalukiem kinda ending.

Report: Mass Effect movie rights obtained by Legendary Pictures {Joystiq}

May 25th 2010 4:41PM sadly i don't think it will work. main plot line is rather generic. The main reason I like mass effect is the depth of characters. with the time limit avaiable of probably 2 hours at most. getting people up to speed in the setting and the main character motivations will take too much time that we don't get the deeper part of the crew's stories. also i want a female shepard just for a change in scifi staples and not the i wearing a space bikini kind i want my hulking armor shepard.

i think they were better off adapting KOTOR to a movie. you don't have to set the stage as much and can focus on the charcter interactions. only problem is the twist will be ruined as everyone in the community will know.
