The Road to Mordor: Ride to ruin and the world's ending! {Massively}

Mar 24th 2012 7:05PM @Graill440 say's the poster that hasn't had a single non-negative thing to say in any of his previous posts. In the Latin language his classification is Trollius Maximus.

The Road to Mordor: Ride to ruin and the world's ending! {Massively}

Mar 24th 2012 7:01PM personally i have a feeling that although mounted combat will be brilliant the first few times you do it... it will become bothersome every time you have to do it after the luster wears off.

that is unless they expand it to other parts of the game instead of one specialized zone where it can only take place.

Blizzard already talking about post-Pandaria WoW expansions {Massively}

Mar 23rd 2012 5:55PM @Jetflame3

so three articles in two day's about a game's expansion that just went into beta is way too much? who's the dick? the person who reads the articles because they are interested in the topic? or the person that demands the site never post an article about it ever again because they personally do not like the game?

this site is about all MMO news. that includes MMO's that you have sworn a blood vendetta against. don't like it? either suck it up, and ignore the articles you don't like.... or go somewhere else if you cannot remove the stick from your rear end.

Blizzard acknowledges TOR's impact on WoW {Massively}

Mar 20th 2012 4:43PM @Fabius Bile that is the same thing the GW nerds said about GW1 during it's entire lifetime, and the game never had an impact on other game's subscription numbers. once most players get through the single player story they stop playing since they had no interest in the end game pvp grind.

don't get me wrong. people will play GW2.. they just won't "leave" their other games in the way you GW fanboy's pray they do.

WRUP: You'd better be wearing green edition {Massively}

Mar 17th 2012 12:20PM "If you aren't wearing green, you're missing the point."

what point is there to be missed? some of us aren't Irish... err i should say that some of us don't pretend to be Irish.

A Mild-Mannered Reporter: Some Enhancement evening {Massively}

Mar 14th 2012 11:28PM who buy's SO enhancement's anymore anyways? it's much cheaper to just make IO enhancement's at lvl 20 that will last you for a hell of a lot longer than any SO will.

The Daily Grind: How much grouping should be required in a game? {Massively}

Mar 11th 2012 4:36PM @Ordegar personally i think that is a flawed view. back in the "good ole day's" people grouped because they had to in order to see any of the content. not because they necessarily wanted to. given the option most people would rather do the content solo on their own schedule instead of on a group of other people's schedules.

A large part of the problem is what you pointed out. a lot of the time it is just an absolute pain to form a group for a specific piece of content you want to do. in many cases it takes much longer to form the group to do the content than it does to actually do the content. one way you could remedy this is with LFG tool's that many games are employing that takes a lot of the stress work of forming a group out of the equation. however as time goes on it once again becomes difficult for new players to form groups for group content because a large portion of the player base has out leveled it, and doesn't care about it anymore.

a good solution is after group content becomes obsolete for the player base that said group content get's converted to solo content. or you could go in the direction that city of heroes goes in with exemplaring, and make all content in the game viable even if you are at the level cap.

in my opinion tho however you handle group/solo content the most important thing to do to get people to want to group with each other is to make it so players do not feel like their time is being wasted by standing around for hours in order to do a half hour's worth of content.

The Daily Grind: How much grouping should be required in a game? {Massively}

Mar 11th 2012 2:38PM grouping should be completely optional for every bit of content in a game. then we will see once and for all that most people really don't want to group to do game content. they just want to do it.

City of Heroes launches Issue 22, and it's going to be a killer {Massively}

Mar 7th 2012 12:42AM so far been having a blast in I22. my main is a stalker so that is for obvious reasons, but dark astoria has been such a pleasure to play through so far. the only thing that makes me mad is that i have to work 16 hours a day for the next four day's, so i'll get very little time with it for the rest of this week... :(

Blizzard buffs the bejeezus out of WoW's Scroll of Resurrection {Massively}

i've played the TERA beta, and i just had an old feeling that at anytime an white pimple faced teenage boy npc would pop out of nowhere and yell "OMG GUISE IT'S SUPER KAWAII DESU!!!" while dressed like sailor moon.
