Jun 8th 2009 12:17AM Neither Vashj, Azshara, or any Naga were alive at time of Ulduars creation. Likely lore for a new race of NPC's we'll interact with should we visit the Maelstrom.
Mar 1st 2008 10:05PM A ret pally also can get Imp Sanctity Aura increasing entire party dmg by 2%, and imp Blessing of Prot they can use to completely wipe the aggro list every 3 minutes on a mage/rogue/whoever
Feb 4th 2008 9:43AM A large portion of the demonology tree comes down to survivability. I imagine the newest demonic addition in the expack will be a demon form for the warlock. You'll still have all of your spells, and the ability to summon a demon, maybe a few spell restrictions, but you get the basic idea. I think that would be a cool 'next step'.
Oct 11th 2007 3:59PM You guys are wrong in presuming the benevolence of Shamans, or comparing them to Paladins. Nothing about a Shaman dictates good or evil intentions towards people, merealy a respect for the elemental balance.
Point and case, Troll Witch Doctors would be considered Shamans. I recall the quest in Stonetalon where you help that Shaman use mature magic to poison Night Elves, laughing all the while and having a great time.
Now granted, respecting said balance might incline one towards kindness, it hardly encorces that inclination, or requires it.
Oct 2nd 2007 3:55PM Of course Preists are Hybrid classes. They can heal, or they can dps, same as a shaman. Same as with a warrior, tank or dps. The only pure classes are the dps, rogues, mages, locks, hunters.
Why should priests be established as the King of Healing? That is a narrow minded thought that healer=priest, warrior=tank, the rest are just stand ins. Blizzard has continually said that a healing class is a healing class, they should all be equally able, granted differences in strengths/weaknesses etc., but all in all, no one should be definitively better then the others.
Oct 2nd 2007 12:05PM I don't understand why everyone refers to Paladins/Shamans/Druids as hybrids, and other classes pure. That's a stupid concept. How is a shaman more of a hybrid then a priest? Both can heal, both can dps, both are designed to be able to do either? Same with warriors, can tank, or dps. The only pure classes are mage/rogue/warlock, and even they have variations in roll from raider to pvp, etc. When you hear healer, don't think priest and comapre every class against it, or warrior for tank. Shammy/Pally/Druid/Priest are all designed ot be healers, none better of worse then the others, the rest is balancing issues, and different strengths/weaknesses.
As for ooc rez? It would be nice, wouldn't imbalance anything, won't really make a difference either way. As a full resto from 60-70 I've never been denied healer because I didn't have one, and like wise have had a handful of times when it was a great inconvience. If I was going to play the wishing game I'd rather have something about our survivbility. Every other healing class has a shield, wether a metal or magic, but thats the price of being a druid, so I live with it.
People saying we can do everythings are idiots, like another commenter mentioned, show me the 51/51/51 spec where we can do it all, and the omni stat encompassing gear, or quit whinning. You knew the classes when you rolled, and even if you didn't, you know them now. If you have such a grief with how overpowered druids are, roll one.
Sep 24th 2007 11:28AM You guys are all missing the main lore point. The playable Death Knights are no longer bound to the Lich King, thus would have to discard their original Rune Blades, the link through which he holds their souls in thrall.
That being said I do really like the concept of keeping your blade, and choosing it's aesthetics, though keep in mind, those looks could be upgradable with time, they could give DKs a profession to level, for caring for their blade, not to far a stretch considering the rogues lock picking skills. And even if they weren't upgradable, they could be changable, much like the feature Blizz is adding to change hair cuts.
All in all, I just like varity in characters, gives them more personality.
Sep 19th 2007 6:26PM "When was the last time you saw LF1M Hunter"
You guys sure are finnicky, when was the last time you saw "LF1M" for any specific class except the odd dungeon like maybe a lock for SV for example.
When was the last time you saw someone asking for a shaman, or a druid, or paladin, for a non tanking/healing roll? LF1M really comes down to dps/cc/tank/healer, you fall into 2 of those roles. Be content.
