May 27th 2011 3:05PM the story (as a whole) is bullshit, plain and simple.
Feb 18th 2010 3:39PM So much for the Auction House column lol
Blizz reads this stuff, ya know.
Dec 24th 2008 3:24PM This would be more like trying to calculate total GDP of the entire WORLD. Highly un-effective. Better would be to attempt it for each realm respectively, instead of server-wide.
Not factoring trades outside of the AH are still acceptable...since in the real world, not every single product sold in any given country is tracked. Imagine being FORCED to sell your car, house, household items through something government sanctioned.
Dec 24th 2008 3:18PM Lets not forget that with loans, we'll need some sort of reliable Interest Rate system in place as well
Sep 13th 2008 9:06PM **EDIT**
My bad. Learn to click hyperlinks before posting >_<
This still sucks though. Since a vast majority of Northrend is virtually unplayable due to lag. You pretty much have to go to Outlands anyway just to get good feedback on the new talents and such. And I would much rather do that on a PTR, where my friends can get onto as well, and I can share the experience with them, since not all of them are in Beta.
Sep 13th 2008 8:58PM I'm in beta...does that mean I can't PTR 3.0.2 for the live realms?
Doesn't make any sense really.
Sep 3rd 2008 4:06PM Not nearly as funny, perhaps. However, it DID make me 'lol'
Salute to you, sir!
Jul 27th 2008 2:59PM Damn those are nice!
Too bad there's no preview of stats though :(
Jul 24th 2008 1:40PM As a Hunter myself:
a) No other class has any right to bitch about this. I leave myself out of other class's grievances (yes rogues, your Vanish is broken...we get it). Please do the same for us.
b) I never once thought pet aggro was 'broken' in the first place.
c) MM Hunters: You SHOULD be out-aggroing your pets, so this really isn't even an issue for you.
d) BM Hunters: If your pet can't hold aggro, then you need to learn NOT to push all-out burst damage right from the get go, and/or take a harder look at your itemization of gear (IE: Yes, there IS gear for either MM or BM specs.) and for the love of all that is holy: Do not use a cat as your 'tank'.
Seriously tho. I don't even think this is an issue for Blizzard to address; now, or in WoTLK.
They are already giving Hunter pets talent trees. If you want a tanking pet, then tame the respective pet family, spec it for tanking and away you go.
BM Hunters look as if they might even be able to off-tank a 5-man instance, while MM Hunters stand to have a pet that will hold mobs in their place, despite massive DPS while soloing.
Note: Right now, I'm specced MM. Yes, aggro gets pulled. However, it's still VERY few and far between that said mob even gets NEAR me...before it falls.
To be completely honest. Yes, I believe Hunters ARE over-powered in a lot of respects. This kind of 'buff', as it were, is not even really needed. And its actually one of many things which piss me off about playing the class. I love a challenge, and I love the way my Hunter plays right now. I loved it even before the Arcane Shot/Aimed Shot buffs. Please, Blizzard. STOP MAKING US EVEN MORE EZ-MODE!!!!
Jul 22nd 2008 8:44AM Personally, a totally new IP would be great; but as a huge fan of StarCraft, I would really love to see the game be made into an MMO.
However, not in the sense that World of Warcraft is.
It would simply be too much of the same thing.
What I would really like to see Blizzard do with the title would be to make a FPS-style shooter game, along the lines of "Command and Conquer: Renegade" with massive worlds in which battles can occur on, a-la Sony's "Planetside".
I have played both of the above mentioned games for a good long time, before both eventually folded....and their servers became ghost towns. Both games are still really quite fun to play. Which is where Blizzard could possibly clean house by making their own.
Their competition would be the likes of Battlefield:2142 and Call of Duty 4.
Personally...I'll choose Blizzard any day.
