The Daily Quest: Premium posts {WoW}

May 20th 2011 5:53PM I believe what we are witnessing here is the beginning of the end of Wow. During times of robust revenue growth Blizzard would have gladly offered this service for free. All this foretells the coming of a new MMORPG from Blizzard.

The Queue: One week until we become Portal 2 Insider {WoW}

Apr 14th 2011 11:47AM I would pay for a 2nd account to be able to access the same characters on my 1st account, but I will not pay for a 2nd account which has totally separate characters. The reason I don't have a second account today is I don't want to divide my present characters across 2 accounts. The best of both worlds would be to play characters from both accounts from either of two accounts.

Blood Sport: A guide to PvP keybinding {WoW}

Feb 23rd 2011 10:57AM I do extensive key bindings with a Logitech G510 keyboard. The G510 has 18 customizable G-keys to the left of the regular keyboard keys. What I do is align 3 vertical bars on the left side of my display to match the 3 vertical rows of G-keys. Then the keybindings are done so any ability can be dragged and dropped to the verticle bars, which automatically assigns abilities to the G-keys. Any ability shown above by Christian can be performed just by moving my left hand 2 inches to the left to the G-keys. I am not promoting the G510 keyboard, but just wanted to point out some alternative flexible key bindings for those wanting to explore further.

BioWare says WoW is the touchstone for Star Wars: The Old Republic {WoW}

Feb 15th 2011 11:29AM I plan to play RIFT later today. RIFT is supposedly similar to WOW. I hope so. I love playing WOW. Being a hardcore player (30+ hours per week)) my only complaint is WOW content is released too slowly. As such I look forward to any game which would provide me with more WOW-like play with new content. Let the competition for my time begin.

Breakfast Topic: How do you find a new realm to call home? {WoW}

Nov 26th 2010 8:32AM I have started a new character on Proudmoore with the intention of finding out what it is like to be in a very large guild like Taint. Although Taint is way over Blizzard's size limit, Taint has started sister guilds and linking them together via some kind of global chat addon.

I have not yet appled to Taint as I only have a level 3 character on Proudmoore. I don't want to move one of my mains to Proudmoore until I join and find out a little bit more about Taint. So I guess you could say I am looking for a new guild experience that does not exist on my server.

Razer announces specialized MMO gaming keyboard {WoW}

Oct 27th 2010 4:18PM I use the G15 keyboard which has 18 programable key, G1-G15, arranged in 6 rows as follows:
G1 G2 G3
G3 G5 G6
space
G7 G8 G9
G10 G11 G12
space
G13 G14 G15
G16 G17 G18

I use 3 verticals bars on the left side of the screen. The 1st verticle bar is assigned keys shift1-shift= just like the number row on the keyboard. The 2nd verticle bar is assigned keys ctrl1-ctrl=, and the 3rd veritcal bar is assigned keys alt1-alt=.

Now I go into the Logitech key profiler and assign G1 to shift1, G2 to ctrl1 and G3 to alt1 so that these 3 keys match the G1-G3 layout shown above. Then I assign G4 to shift2, G5 to ctrl2 and G6 to alt3. This makes the next row of the vertical bars match the G4-G6 layout right below the G1-G3 keys.

Then I skip the next row, shift3, ctrl3 and alt3 in the verticle bars to make a space row just like the G15 keyboards layout shown above. The result is the 3 verticle bars end up matching the layout of the G-keys on the keyboard as shown above.

The really nice thing about doing this is that any spell/action icons I drag to the 3 verticle bars exactly matches the pictorial layout of the keyboard. If I can't remember what spell I assigned to the G2 key then all I have to do is look at the screen. No more keyboard mapping, just drag and drop to the 3 verticle bars on the left side of the screen which now look like"
G1 G2 G3
G3 G5 G6
space
G7 G8 G9
G10 G11 G12
space
G13 G14 G15
G16 G17 G18
