Sep 12th 2011 4:11PM Flooding in Penn. has nothing to do with this story. Simply because it is yet another tragic story so we should donate to your cause vs. the cause in the original story is not a very cool thing to do on a messageboard like this.
Post your message on a forum related to flooding in PA, then that's ok.
Sep 11th 2011 10:04PM I sold some land and financed it (private mortgage) to an elderly couple that wanted it for a church that bordered the property. It wasn't expensive, but about 7 years into a 10 year mortgage the husband in that couple got ill and asked me to forgo the rest of the mortgage for a balloon payment which was about 1/3rd of what the rest of the payments added up to.
Honestly, letting it go was one of the BEST decisions in my life, I would do it again. This woman had ONE year left on her mortgage - this is an unbelievably tragic story. A good business person could see their way to pay her 1 year of payments maybe after she passes there could be some consideration? She needs something creative like that.
May 22nd 2011 3:38AM What was your number when you first got in line?
May 9th 2011 11:34PM Minimizing and making excuses for the drop in subscribers doesn't do much good for anyone - the readers, the company or this site. Yes while your points seem valid, they actually validate what many people have been saying for quite awhile now. Cataclysm is not the end-all of expansion packs and it did not reinvigorate the user base.
You can bet if Blizzard offered up your reasons for the drop in subscribers the investor relations folks would be in hot water. They need to "man-up" and take responsibility for the drop and then plan on how to make things right moving forward.
Apr 26th 2011 1:02PM Since we only get to know true subscriber numbers when Blizzard sends out a press release heralding a new record number, I'm wondering what the subscriber count was before and after Cataclysm? Has Cataclysm or new MMO's coming out had any substantial impact on subscriber growth / retention?
Mar 8th 2011 3:29PM As a warlock - my opinion on this change can be summed up in one action: yawn...
Mar 8th 2011 11:42AM Are there factions at Blizzard between developers who want to make aspects of the game more available to the casual player (like me) via more flight paths, portals, gear, leveling bonuses, easier to get mounts, and a faction that is decidedly "hard-core" grumbling about all this? I'm wondering how those discussions go down and if more availability is inevitable due to increased competition and the need to increase the player population?
Feb 28th 2011 4:48PM You mean (GASP!) buff warlock spells? That goes against everything they've done to warlocks in the past 2+ years.
Feb 7th 2011 1:58AM Then the name for the satchel is incorrect. It should be renamed to "Satchel of Items You Can Equip"
Jan 5th 2011 11:56AM Exactly - and I could understand if they only traded only Wrath ink and below - but now that everything has been converted to use Blackfallow Ink it seems really ... REALLY lame to have the one and only trader in Dalaran!
