Mar 26th 2012 10:39AM I've always liked the idea of the Pandaren. Chen Stormstout in WCIII was a ton of fun to play. I've never understood the nerdragehate that popped up when they actually announced it. It's a fun, different direction to go. It allows Blizzard to use an Asian theme - which certainly won't hurt the playerbase in, umm, Asia... There is an enormous amount of asian and martial arts movies and themes that can be mined for pop culture references. Having a movie or 2 out with a kung fu panda as a character probably didn't hurt their decision. I think it really works on many levels. And this really sets the stage to extend the life of WoW. Instead of going straight into another checkbox of Warcraft Big Bads that we have to hunt down and kill, they introduced a few new twists before we get to Azshara and Sargaras eventually. Good for them. I'm going to have a blast playing it, Beta invite or no.
Mar 7th 2012 4:23PM Yes, exactly with regards to Azshara. You know we are on a collision course with her as a big bad. Whether it comes through a full Naga invasion (maybe with the return of the Burning Legion) or we go track her down in her lair to rescue Nep, it will be coming.
Mar 7th 2012 4:18PM This is the first I've heard that they had planned that. I knew that the instances felt like there should be much more. Here's to hoping that they bring this content back up in a future expansion. It would be a great way to incorporate some old gods, and get level 90, 95+ characters back into Northrend.
Mar 7th 2012 11:06AM I have 6 level 85's at this point. My main and favorite is a Shaman. I have 2 hunters - 1 alliance and 1 horde. A DK, Mage, and feral druid. A 70 Paladin.
I can't seem to do Warriors or Rogues. I played a Worgen Warrior to 20 to play through the starting zone. Same with a Goblin Rogue. They are sitting unused after that on another server.
I have a 34 shadow priest and a 28 lock languishing as well. They are just sitting there.
I think it's because I like the utility and tools of hybrid and pet classes.
I might pick up one of them again if they ever allow cross-server heirloom transfers.

Dec 29th 2011 2:31PM Tanks - for groups of 3 or mor, use skull and then x, and a cc mark if necessary. After the first two are down, the rest are cake, usually. Hotkey them, don't use an auto-mark of your current target - that can get too confusing.
Also, there's a reason that the title achieved for LFD runs is . If you are an old pro, educate the noobies. Even if it slows you down a bit. It makes them better, it makes later runs better for everyone. ESPECIALLY, if this is their first character. How many times have you read in forums, "I don't use LFD, everyone is such a jerk.", or "I tried playing, but got called names because I didn't know what to do." You make the difference for them.
You can get an immense feeling of satisfaction from helping others, with a caring and patient attitude. If they cuss you out, so be it. But more often than not, it gets them to think and improve.
Nov 29th 2011 6:21PM I just used this in my first run through of all three. 3 guildies plus a pug tank. One-shotted everything. Fantastic quickie guide. Nice Job!
