Jul 10th 2008 8:46PM For Enhancement Shamans, leather is better than mail. Period. The only exception are two "best in slot" items, and they're T6 and Sunwell loot, respectively.
You are not going to find a competent high-end raiding guild that will take a shaman who sticks to mail "just because."
Of course, this column is written by a guy who didn't even hear of Elitist Jerks until a few months ago. Another example of WoW Insider's "expert" staff.

Does anyone edit this blog?
Mar 24th 2008 4:56PM You have a point in Toughness at the expense of Mental Quickness, and for all the world I can't figure out why. (Particularly since the changes to toughness haven't even been implemented yet.)
You lose the opportunity to get hit-capped for your spells by not taking Nature's Guidance, and your melee will suffer from that extra bit of hit too, since the vast majority of PvP gear does not have hit rating. When you try to interrupt a cast in PvP, and it gets resisted, you can thank the fact that you went down the Elemental tree for redundant talents instead of getting Nature's Swiftness.
And that one point in Mental Quickness would be more valuable than all five points in Concussion.
No offense, but I really hope no one copies your build.
Jan 27th 2008 6:15AM Most people return to this site because it's got WoW news condensed into easy-to-read blog posts, but I don't think most of us would say we come back because there are gripping, well-written, must-read posts.
And your argument that, because of the volume of posts, they're entitled to a certain number of errors? That doesn't make sense when there are blogs and news sites posting upwards of 300 items a day, and the online copy is held to the same standards of a print publication.
There's no excuse for professional writers and editors not proofreading their own stuff.
Jan 27th 2008 6:02AM The problem is almost every post has multiple grammatical and spelling errors, and every time someone points that out, they get flamed and modded down. It happens so much, I'm beginning to suspect it's the WoW Insider staff posting on alts.
As someone mentioned above, this is a commercial blog, and the writers and editors are supposed to be professionals. Unfortunately, most of the time the articles here are indistinguishable from rants on the official WoW forums.
Jan 10th 2008 5:53PM I love how, instead of summarizing or reprinting the interview, you decide to take tiny snippets, call the interviewee arrogant, and go on to tell us why he's wrong and you're right.
Seriously, what a piss-poor excuse for a post this is. And I really wouldn't be surprised if this guy doesn't grant you another interview after you've called him arrogant when in reality he came across as an intelligent player. This is just par for the course at WoW Insider, where even the editors can't seem to make a coherent post.
Jan 3rd 2008 12:18PM "You've been trying for days to get a group together to run an instance so you can clear out your quest log. Your guild isn't interested in whatever you're up to, and you've wound up in the looking for group channel, where you find three rogues and a hunter who are interested in joining you. Hopefully at this point you wake up from your nightmare... at which point you may be compelled to spend some time considering the ideal group configuration. So what classes would you put in your ideal group? For a 5-man, a 10-man, a 25-man?"
You've been posting the same garbage for a year, and you call yourself an editor. You wouldn't recognize good writing if it hit you in the face, and your topics are stale. Hopefully at this point you wake up from your nightmare...but, no, Elizabeth, you're still a sorry excuse for an editor, managing a blog that's overflowing with garbage and bad writing. You fail.
Jan 3rd 2008 12:08PM It's hard to believe, but the posts on this blog just keep getting worse and worse. Between this, the meandering, pointless post above about Resto healing, and the holiday posts telling us to "enjoy" our game time (duh) I really don't know how you continue to draw advertisers or readers.
Does anyone edit this blog? Are there any criteria for post topics, or are you just shoveling garbage and hoping people comment?

I've gotten that a few times too. The only times I'll toss out heals is when a warrior or bear tank is actually tanking, and even a weak heal will keep them up.
Besides that, when people yell at me to heal, I just point to the damage charts, remind them that I'm sitting at the very top ahead of all the "pure" dps classes, and that usually shuts them up.
Oh, and it's worth mentioning that the most retarded thing I've seen recently was a Resto Shaman in AB who put his Earth Shield on...a Hunter.

I noticed you said you "come from a military family" and you have "no problem playing drill sergeant" but you subtly admit you weren't actually in the military. You sound like one of those guys who always talks about going into the military but never actually did it.
And the claim that you can single-handedly win a BG match is hilarious. As the rest of us who play melee classes know, kiting and crowd control are a fact of life, and gear doesn't make you exempt from any of those things. Run into a group of five with your S3 gear, and you'll be immobilized and beat on just the same as a 70 in blues, the only difference being that you'll last a few seconds longer before you keel over. In short, you're wasting your time bragging on a blog comment box about how awesome you are, because no one here is impressed.
