Mar 25th 2009 10:40PM I'm going to have to agree with Nadril here, there is a SHIT LOAD of anti-PVP bias in WoWInsider comments and I'm kind of getting tired of it. "Wahhhh blizzard is spending time on a portion of the game I don't participate in so therefore we just scrap it!" Is about all I see here.
What don't you people understand? PvP is practically half of the game and there are a load of people who don't raid and enjoy the aspect of fighting another human being over that of fighting an NPC. Just because you don't doesn't mean no one does. As far as PvE nerfs go: cry me a fucking river. "Blah blah you nerfed my damage because this move had huge burst in PvP", well guess what? Remember that time you did consistently higher dps than everyone else and ended up getting nerfed? GASP, SOME OF THAT WAS BURST DAMAGE THAT WE JUST LOST. As nadril said it goes two ways, so calm your shit.
Mar 23rd 2009 11:32PM Just what pallys need, more buffs.
It's not like they don't dominate every aspect of the game already.
Feb 27th 2009 8:23PM I know they've said they don't like how efficient LB is in PvE, but this solution is ridiculous.
In case you couldn't figure it out, this basically doubles the cost of LB if you want to roll a stack on the MT. I wasn't aware that it was that absurdly OP that it needed to be changed, I don't know any other healers were even concerned at all, and I think the WG nerf put druid heals right on par with others.
Completely unwarranted, ridiculous, and a very contrived solution. 0/10 blizz, thanks for nothing.
Feb 25th 2009 7:26PM I know exactly what you mean. I've found that as a DK, you can tank DPS just about as effectively as you can normal DPS, and in a lot of cases it's not hard to imagine destroying the damage meters even as a dedicated tank.
Howling Blast as it was was probably OP in some regards, I think the main problem came from the fact that it is ultimately an AOE, and one that did comparably damage to Single Target attacks, didn't scale off of weapon damage, and, well, it was a god damn AOE for christ sake. I do not think blizz intended it to be the DW powerhouse that it turned out to be, and hence when they nerfed it so dramatically. It is now what it was always intended to be, a simple AOE that procced off Rime and was used very situationally. However in the process blizz completely disregarded DW'ing and possibly destroyed the spec beyond repair. So go figure.
That "surgical precision" they have is looking more and more like a nuke to me.
Feb 25th 2009 7:12PM I don't care if they add another 10 levels, but please do not make the XP to level something ridiculous like 3 million. Leveling is dandy at all but I just hate the fact that it's such a CHORE. It's fun to explore new content, but I don't want to spend 5 hours per level in that content, and end up hating it like I have nearly every other zone I've been in.
Feb 25th 2009 7:05PM Actually, they are VERY related. Howling Blast is the main attack for the DW spec due to the fact that it does not scale off of weapon damage and hence provides the same or more amount of damage for the same runes, even though your individual weapon DPS is a lot lower.
Basically: It's central to DW'ing, and this nerf nearly kills the idea altogether.
Feb 25th 2009 7:04PM He's clearly being sarcastic.
Feb 8th 2009 10:30PM Whats that? That sound? It's the WAHHHHHHMMMBULANCE.
"Wait, you mean to tell me that people who are good at pvp....get pvp oriented weapons....and people who are dedicated (good is too strong of a word) at PvE, get PvE oriented weapons? NOOOOO WAYYYY.
Seriously, this isn't how it was in s3/s4, people aren't gearing up with pvp epics and facerolling all over raids. Even if that was true, it would probably be harder to grind the honor than to actually raid these days, what with the difficult level where it is and all.
Jan 16th 2009 3:05PM I think you misunderstood the question about mana gain. I don't think he was asking why it appears that there are a constant series of ticks, I think he was asking why he never goes oom and hence never has to watch his mana bar because it doesn't matter.
Jan 14th 2009 4:27PM You can fly in. As long as you land far enough inside it appears the port does not happen and you can walk around in certain area's without being ported.
I haven't tried trying to get to the NPC's mentioned in the article, but I imagine it wouldn't be too hard if you know where to go on an epic flyer.
