Blood Sport: A guide to PvP keybinding {WoW}

Feb 24th 2011 2:44AM However, one thing to keep in mind when key-binding for Windows is that your recommendation for Space Bar being awesome and listing Alt as a modifier is no bueno as it's the key combo for "Program Menu" and it may FUBAR your PVPness while playing.
Also, I learned that using Alt for a modifier and then tab-targetting is no good either. All of a sudden you're tabbing through programs and losing control of your character instead of blowing things up.

AddOn Spotlight: Altoholic {WoW}

Nov 3rd 2009 3:08PM This coupled with Panda is amazing.

Panda gives you an interface that lets you use several professions simply by clicking the product and shows the ingredients or sources.

This with Altoholic's item tooltips is godly.

1-60 in 20 minutes {WoW}

Sep 1st 2008 9:42AM WoW Recruit-A-Friend FAQ:
"For every two levels the new player earns, the new player can grant one free level-up to a lower-level character played by the veteran player."
"[The] recruit may not grant a level to a character that is level 60 or higher."

WoWInsider Article:
"Brian had to level two characters to 60 on his recruited account to get a total of sixty level grants."

So. The WoWInsider Author created a 2nd WoW Account with his primary WoW Account being the recruiter. On the recruited account, he levelled 2 characters up to 60. Every 2 levels, he gained one grantable level. 30 on the first character and 30 on the 2nd character for a total of 60 grantable levels.
The grantable levels were then given to the paladin on his original account. Technically, 58 levels were given to level up to 59. The way the terminology reads on the WoW FAQ it sounds like level 60 must be obtained by normal means, however, it may not be programmed that way because it looks like the character was in fact able to reach 60 via the granted levels.

Account One:
Have a level 61+ character

Account Two:
Recruited by Account One
Level 2 characters to 60

Account One:
Create a brand-new character
Use 60 grantable levels on brand-new character

Thus, instant level 60 character... after spending time to level 2 others to 60 on a recruited account.

Faction Champion in 8885 {WoW}

Aug 31st 2008 11:53AM The way I figure it could work best is if there's the normal collector's tabards that we know and love right now that you gain at Exalted.

This "Rep-gaining Tabard" would be of a similar pattern to the "Collector's Exalted Tabard" but looking like a "lesser quality" or "time-worn" version.

Breakfast Topic: Figureprints {WoW}

Apr 28th 2008 8:44AM You're going to get many "OMG UR STUPID" comments in reply to your first comment because the comment interface of this blog doesn't really give you the option of a) deleting your comment or b) accurately and easily showing a comment thread. Your initial comment (authored by Chais) would be the top of the thread. The resulting thread started by zeem would branch from your initial comment. The resulting thread started by me would also branch from your initial comment. Then each thread would cascade down individually. The way that sites such as LiveJournal do it (which has been mentioned several times in WoW Insider) happens to be vastly superior to the program that is being used here at WoW Insider.

To the people at WoW Insider: I suggest a CMS with a different comment system.

Breakfast Topic: Figureprints {WoW}

Apr 28th 2008 8:34AM The point is that FigurePrints is not run by Blizzard in any shape or form. It is run by a fan of Blizzard's products, namely World of Warcraft.
