Know Your Lore: Never to rise again {WoW}

Apr 4th 2012 1:36PM I found that to be an interesting perspective as well.

The Queue: Attack of the Killer Tomatoes {WoW}

Apr 4th 2012 12:03PM A few comments in response to previous posts.
1) Monk Heirlooms - Since they use Agi I don't see Crusader as being best since Crusader has a Str buff component for the proc iirc. I'm going with Venrrable Mass of McGowan x2 with Agi enchant for Windwalker atm.
2) Monk column name - Since there's no in-game book to crib from I was thinking of either "The Empty Keg" (Chen is a Brewmaster) or "The Quivering Palm" or some pun involving Chi.
3) Since all monks can dual wield, will dual wielding brewmasters be viable tanks?

Breakfast Topic: How would you redesign the old character models? {WoW}

Mar 29th 2012 1:12PM I would like the original races to have fingers that are animated (I'm looking at you flipper hands). Hair that moves and more expressive faces would be gravy - nice but not essential. Ultimately it would be nice if they could give some scaling and different body types, but that would take a lot of work.

The Queue: I need to read more {WoW}

Mar 28th 2012 12:06PM To be honest, the Belgariad was a bit formulaic, but it was also my first book by Eddings.

The Queue: I need to read more {WoW}

Mar 28th 2012 11:37AM Book suggestions:
Weird Stuff - The Curious Case of Charles Dexter Ward by H.P. Lovecraft (can be found in many anthologies)
American Gods by Neil Gaiman
Stardust by Neil Gaiman

Sci-Fi type stuff - Starship Troopers by Robert A. Heinlein (not at all like the movie of the same name)
The Moon is a Harsh Mistress by Robert A. Heinlein
Snow Crash by Neal Strphenson
The Diamond Age by Neal Stepenson
Neuromancer by William Gibson

Fantasy - The Belgariad by David Eddings
His Majesty's Dragon by Naomi Novik
Dies the Fire by S.M. Stirling

Breakfast Topic: Mists of Pandaria beta's lack of NDA {WoW}

Mar 21st 2012 11:43AM I'll be trying out the Pandaren Monk and the new 85-90 content. I'll also be giving lots of feedback on healing. I signed up for the Annual Pass for the guaranteed Beta access...the other perks were just gravy.

The Queue: The sins of the father {WoW}

Mar 21st 2012 11:21AM I suspect it will be the Sha that corrupt Garrosh, not demon blood. That will tie them in better and keep the implied war crimes angle related to the other bad guys of the expansion. He's made a big deal about dabbling with demons as you quest in the 1-60 content.

Mar 8th 2012 12:34PM Here's a question that may have been answered before:

Where do go to grind Steamwheedle Cartel rep now? Is it just endless farming low level mobs?

The last gasp of 25-man raiding {WoW}

Feb 24th 2012 3:31PM So, if I'm reading this right you want to go back to the BC model of 'these raids are for 10-person groups & these raids are for 25-person groups'? I don't see how that's possible since Blizzard has plainly stated that they want to make all the end-game content more accessible. I don't see how effectively denying 10-person raiding guilds (such as mine) access to any of the raids in a raiding tier fits with that mentality - after all, a 25-person group can break up into separate teams to hit the 10-person raid(s) and still do the 25-person raids while they're all current content, but the 10-person groups will either have to PUG or content themselves with the Raid Finder experience to see that content.

I'm sure the obvious reply would be something along the lines of "then learn to recruit and field a 25-person team", but that's not a viable option for my guild on my server. I'm in a friends and family guild that dont want to leave and our attempts at getting more raiders for a 25-person group haven't gone well. I'd prefer to do 25's but it's not in the cards for me right now.

Wouldn't this be cool? Another draenei ship {WoW}

Feb 17th 2012 12:27PM Thanks for the correction @Bumblebee.

@knightsamoyed I can honestly say I've thought that before as well.
