Breakfast Topic: Do you like PvP? {WoW}

Apr 3rd 2012 9:40AM I started playing Wow in 2005. I did mostly PvE, varying on the role. As far as pvp goes, at the begining, I actually shake in fear, before the loading screen was over. I was that scared. My favorite BG back then was AV, because I had less chances to get focused, as a ranged DPS in the middle of a 40men raid.

Today, I enjoy PvP more, to the point I no longer shake and actually get excited at it. I got over my fear issues. I pvp on my resto druid, my disc priest, Arms Warrior and sometimes Unholy DK.

One thing I really, really start hating about PvP, and this hate started at Burning Crusade, is Resilience. That one stat turned my pvp experience a nightmare. I could not longer survive more than a few seconds. Other players become "immortal", even if I played almost perfectly.

Veterans can rolflstomp new pvp players like nothing, even to the point of disregarding interrupts, slows, debuffs, etc.
Warcraft PvP was never totally about skill, but now it feels gear matters even more, to win. Which is sad.

Mists of Pandaria: Chris Metzen interview {WoW}

Mar 19th 2012 11:18AM Sorry, I never really got to accept Garrosh as Warchief.
He was an incongruent character; during TBC, he was a sissy, while in Wrath, he became a warmonger. His personality changed to quicky to find it "natural".
I hated his attitude during the Ulduar 3.2 Patch trailer, where he defies King Varian, despite both factions had a new common enemy. That defied common sense, but Garrosh was never known to have any.
He managed to hostelize both Vol'jin and Sylvanas, which shows he also never were meant to lead an army.
The only thing decent (semi-decent), was to "dismiss" Overloard Krom'gar after he commited a genocide in Stonetalon.

I won't miss him.

The case for cross-faction Real ID raiding {WoW}

Feb 29th 2012 2:08PM Cross-faction raiding has already occurred in the past, in wow.
A bug has caused at least 2 alliance players to join a Horde raid against Illidan.
The event was reported here, in Wowinsider, back in October 2007.

Italian version of WoW coming soon {WoW}

Feb 24th 2012 2:51PM That's great news for the Italian community!

Unfortunately, I only got bad experiences with Italian people ingame, but I do believe I had bad luck, and not all of them are obnoxious. Every time I saw a Crushridge player, I sighed.

But still, I think Portuguese people are even worse than Italians: they argue with everyone, including among themselves, they try to win every discussion and nothing gets done.
I am one of them, and I can't tolerate my own people. -.-
Thank God for the Aggra-Portugues server!

Cheers for the Italians!
See ya in Tempesta di Vento! :D

Should Blizzard leave heroic encounter difficulty alone? {WoW}

Feb 22nd 2012 8:58AM I think Blizzard should leave at least the Heroic difficulty untouched.
Seriously, it makes me a bit sad to see that they didn't learn yet how the human mind works.

A MMO should not be a democracy, where everyone can reach the Heroic modes, and everyone has the same Titles/Achievements/Mounts.
Blizzard can't promote the "everyone should see all content" trend by nerfing the content, and hope that people don't do the following:

1) rush trough content quicker than they can deliver;
2) get bored because there's nothing else to do pve-wise;
3) complain that the next patch is so far in the future;
4) unsubscribe till the next patch arrives;
5) complain again because the patch they deliver does not meet their standards.

I love this game, but I think they are managing it the wrong way.

Blue Posts and Other WoW News: Blizzard considering changing the "Skyrim" Ultraxion trash, answers on raid nerfs {WoW}

Jan 19th 2012 9:56AM Sauron_1969, I assume you are replying to me.
If so, you haven't read my post, specially the last paragraph.

"Dragon Soul is such a young raid. If only Blizzard gave us 1 month more, before this (optional) nerf..."

Blue Posts and Other WoW News: Blizzard considering changing the "Skyrim" Ultraxion trash, answers on raid nerfs {WoW}

Jan 19th 2012 8:52AM I understand I might sound like an elitist prick (or jerk), but I would love to finish Dragon Soul Normal before this optional buff comes live. My guild doesn't have the required skill (and DPS) to down Spine and Madness on Normal, not to mention the Heroic version.

It's a matter of personal pride, because as soon as it is implemented ingame, any achievement I may conquer will feel lackluster to me and my guild. We will know we suck so much, that only with a clutch we will be able to surpass this obstacle.

Dragon Soul is such a young raid. If only Blizzard gave us 1 month more, before this (optional) nerf...

Breakfast Topic: Would you vote-kick that NPC from your party? {WoW}

Jan 17th 2012 1:57PM I think Malfurion is the worse NPC above all:

He doesn't heal or buff like Thrall, he doesn't handle the adds like Tyrande, and he doesn't buff the group like Illidan.
Then he shows up when things have calmed down (he has a history record of bailling out), and he is rude to Tyrande, someone who actually did something besides bouncing.
Really? How can Tyrande take that?

Oh, and Mr.Featherman all-mighty has an obnoxious accent that I can't stand earing.
I wish Blizzard would place him in Storwind, flagged for pvp, so we could farm him a few times.

Breakfast Topic: What was your first raid experience? {WoW}

Sep 24th 2011 3:43PM My first raid was Zul'Gurub, the 20men version, back in May 2006.
We killed Venoxis and Jek'lik, in a raid composed by a raid community (cross-guilds).
I also got my first epic that night: Fang of Venoxis, a caster dagger for my frost mage.
