Oct 22nd 2011 8:51AM I am in agreement. New talent system sounds intruiging but I could take or leave anything else. To be honest if Im excited about anything, its now being able to unsub without FOMO.
Have played WoW since beta and have enjoyed every single minute of it, this seems like a good time to let go and move on though.
Jul 20th 2011 4:01AM You are spot on with that principle, its also particularly brutal in 2v2!
Last week I was playing my rogue for points with a feral druid I picked in the trade channel, against a 160k HP Death Knight and a 120K HP Warrior.
Normally I would expect a loss against such a well geared DK - but I managed to get a sap off on him and quickly put some heavy damage on the warrior with my partner. The DK was forced to trinket the sap to save his partner, and I managed to blind him for full duration.
Then I managed a vanish (Stoneform to clear bleeds), and another sap at the end of blind. By the end of the sap (1/2 duration ofc), the warrior was dead and we were able to kill the DK. Druid was ready to use cyclone if needed too.
It should have been a really difficult fight but CC made it easy.
Jul 20th 2011 3:54AM These articles may not always generate lots of comments on this site, but they are a very good read. C.Christian Moore please keep writing your columns, you have a lot of readers who dont normally comment (like me!).
As a casual PvP'er (and wow player in general) I find them very insightful and well written.
Jun 28th 2011 7:51AM Have you considered some pieces from the Level 70 warlock Season 2 (or 3? I cant remember) PvP set?
Amazing looking Warlock outfit.
May 27th 2011 3:48AM there are plenty of other classes abilities that only affect one or the other.
If you are fighting an opponent that uses magic, use cloak, if physcial, CR.
Sure, its a nerf, and nerfs are never welcomed - but whats so hard about that decision?
May 13th 2011 4:45AM Amen. Good luck SS'ing Blessing of Freedom (or any meaningful buff for that matter) when you actually need it, when your target has a dozen trash buffs as they always do.
Why waste a GCD spellstealing thorns or grace while someone is wailing on you. Spellsteal will no longer be used in PvP, at all.
And whats with constantly nerfing all Mage specs, instead of just Frost PvP?
May 4th 2011 4:49AM I think the PTR tip is a very good one, I wish I had taken that advice before levelling a Warlock to 80 in wotlk then deciding I didnt like it after trying it out in PvP!
May 3rd 2011 1:47PM I feel the same way. Is there a more underwhelming "proc" effect in the game than Arcane Missiles?
Its damage is mediocre and you have stand still to cast. If only its use matched the rather cool looking effect.
May 3rd 2011 1:22PM Affects all Mage specs, rather than the one that needed nerfing. Lazy change.
Feb 24th 2011 6:22AM On the surface that seems like a great idea, but in a scenario where a current powerful Ignite DoT has 1 second remaining, you might want a new one to overwrite it with a new 4-second duration anyway, even if its less powerful, since the overall damage remaining over the 4 seconds might be higher than the 1 second of the more powerful existing DoT.
I hope that made sense lol....
