I'm in a guild that raids, but I'm very casual - I'll do a heroic now and then and come along if my guild needs an extra warm body in a raid, but most of the time I play alone. Partly because of the time of the day I play and partly because I like the social aspect of the game, but not necessarily the co-operative aspect. I love BGs but I don't like Arenas; I love epic questlines but I'm not too fond of epic raids. They just stress me out.
So to have something like the AT, where I can get cool-looking epics AND cool-looking vanity rewards, is just perfect. Now to implement decent BG rewards...
