May 6th 2008 5:11PM The only time I feel guilty about using Adblock is with Wowhead. I gave up on Thottbot a long time ago. This is the kind of behavior that will make me consider turning on the ads for this site, but my account is way too valuable to me then anything these sites could consider showing me. This is a conflict, but would be willing to pay or contribute. They need to put a tip jar or Paypal link up, at least while they have the boycott going. Would be interesting to see the community step up and help those that help us so much. On the Wowhead forums this seems to be the consensus.
Apr 30th 2008 7:30PM Great post, I myself just started at the release of TBC and have 1) Leveled every weapon skill to max 2) Working on faction rep to exalted, both old world and Outlands 3) Getting all trades to max 4) Clear every potential quest (even the now low ones). Doing all this while still doing dailies and instances when I can. I have limited play time, so you do what you can. I love the content and want to experience all of it too, I guess. Probably won't see a lot of stuff like Black Temple, etc. But then again there is a lot of stuff "hardcore" raiders won't see that I will. There seems to be this total focus on either raiding or PVP. When I am ready and feel like I want to experience it, it will still be there. Thus is the inherent genius that is this game we play. I don't know if it was intended and Blizz got lucky, or this was all planned. Labels like "hardcore" vs. "casual" are just that , labels.
Apr 29th 2008 7:06PM Good article! It really is about how you set your attitude. I have been going crazy over the dailies since the patch as I need the dough for the epic flyer. I have limited play time, so the game quickly became a job. Had to stop and start taking my time. Pick them up when I can, but really need to bring some variety back into what time I do have to play. Made a big difference.
Oh and the fishing advice rocks. Sometimes if I only have an hour or so I just "go fishin".
