Mar 10th 2008 1:23PM I've always wondered why there were never any mage portals ending up in Theramore, considering you have one of the game's most powerful mages making her home there. Would be pretty neat zoning in from a portal and seeing Jaina right off the bat.
I'm guessing (along with everyone else) the Stonard portal is for Hordies to get to Kara relatively quickly.
Mar 5th 2008 12:00PM 18.5k is pretty easily doable while still having enough defense and avoidance with Kara/Heroic gear and stacking +12 stamina gems. My tank (pally) is depending on gear, at 493-495 def, between 103-108 avoidance, and with the right group makeup (and gear swapping) get dang close to 18.1-18.2k HP while still wearing a couple of blues (damn Netherspite refuses to drop his shoulders).
I do however question, needing 18.5k to tank anything in Kara... Gruul's and above heck yeah, anything in Kara absolutely not. Our MT is roughly at about 17k health and our healers barely break a sweat keeping him and I healed throughout all fights.
Jan 22nd 2008 9:13AM I was playing Ultima Online with a buddy of mine for ages. Then he broke down first and bought WoW pretty much the third week after it came out for public consumption. He couldn't stop raving about it and how incredibly better than UO it was. I bought it the next day, hopped onto the same server he was on and rolled my paladin who is still my main to this day. I thought it was meh, kind of fun and wasn't terribly impressed with Stormwind when I paid my first visit.
Then I hopped on the tram and made my way out into the gnome section of Ironforge. As I made my way out of the mini gnomish city and into the main area of Ironforge, my jaw dropped. That instant where I saw all of the wonderful detail of the buildings and then such a hustle and bustle of activity just a few paces by the bank just had me right then and there. I was on the phone with my buddy as I was playing and he was like "Oh yeah dude. Wait till you fly back to Stormwind City." So, I hopped on the gryphon and just couldn't stop saying "holy sh*t" non-stop flying over most of central Azeroth.
Jan 9th 2008 11:58AM My first character, a paladin, is still my main despite having alts from every single class (another 70, one at about 65, the rest mostly 60s). She's the one I do all of my rep with, make it a point to do all quests possible with, learn all the holiday stuff with, etc, etc. The reason my first is still and will always be my main is that I just have entirely too much fun with her while playing. Sure, some folks are turned off by playing a paladin, with me, I won't have it any other way. Every other class else is just to damned boring for me to play and not have it be a chore.
Oct 10th 2007 9:56AM As a pally tank, it's pretty easy. Fling my shield and bam, almost all of my targets hate me, drop a consecrate and they all don't bother the rest of the group.
It's only when there's a really tricky pull or we want that extra bit of crowd control love that I ask for a misdirect or if we're short a hunter, I've always been a fan of the polymorph pull. I've been asked to do it many a time on my mage.
