Dwarvish Name Generator (and many other racials):
Mar 25th 2008 2:03PM I wish they'd fix the Kill Command (and other instants) bug causing Auto-Shots to stop indefinitely. It's ridiculous and only showed up in 2.3.
Feb 8th 2008 9:53AM @Thadski: Yes, that's one big possible benefit. It would be a shame if it wasn't possible (say because an addon can't query player.target() or something).
Feb 1st 2008 9:42AM @yose: I don't think that your spec is very optimal. But that got me thinking. What is the worst possible arena spec? http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=cxcGdMZxEMMhhMZIMVM00o
I remember something about Humanoid Slaying not working in PvP... otherwise I wouldn't have taken it for this anti-optimal spec.
Jan 30th 2008 1:38PM @guesswho: Yes, that's true if it's just pvp gear. If you're not into SSC/TK/BT gear mixed with some PvP, you probably want the extra 125AP. It isn't increasing AP by percentage. It's doing it by a fixed amount. If it was a percentage then it would make sense as a 31pt talent. However, the health talent increases are all percentage on top of typically high health gear.
Oct 15th 2007 9:29AM All any good pvp'er does against my hunter is run for his deadzone and use skills to stay in the deadzone. The primary thing my hunter does, is use skills and maneuvering to not have a dead zone. It's certainly exploiting a weakness in the hunter mechanics.
The idea that the dead zone is sacred and a part of having skill is garbage. Anyone that thinks a rifle can't be used effectively with someone ten feet away is nuts.
I agree that they could have had other talents or skills to address this. But even in PvE it is nuts. Hunters are always having to do crazy positioning things to get far enough away.
Oct 12th 2007 3:31PM I'm not sure why Blizzard nerfing racial abilities in 2.3 that we've had for 3 years. And a quintessential archetype, "Dwarven Rifleman" is made unsupportable.
- Dwarf: Gun Specialization now increases chance to critically hit with Guns by 1% rather than increasing weapon skill.
- Troll: Bow and Thrown Specialization now increases chance to critically hit with those weapons by 1% rather than increasing weapon skill.
Oct 11th 2007 10:13AM @16, /agree. And snake traps are especially nice with the Shade. Toss one down when you get pulled in or if you're crossing over for blizzard.
