Breakfast Topic: A trip to the stylist, part one {WoW}

Nov 14th 2009 10:10AM I was really happy to hear about the barbershop implementation. I had picked the pig tails for my Draenei back when I made her the day BC came out and.. Well I wasn't happy at all with them after just a short while. I picked them for the bangs (or fringe...) because they were the only ones that I thought looked good. But after months of dealing with those goddamn pig tails I was about ready to shoot myself.

Needless to say I was very let down at the new choices. Yay, I get 5 Blood Elf hair styles. On a Draenei. Wat. I ended up changing it to one of the BE styles because, again, they were the only ones with bangs I liked. And I still ended up with a freakish emo hairstyle. (The one that has the huge bang that covers one eye..) I like it better than my previous one, but..

They could have done so much more. As a poster above said. I'd take Sims level customization over playing the same looking character as everyone else, any day.

Here's hoping for Cataclysm...

Patch 3.3 PTR: Invincible {WoW}

Nov 4th 2009 3:40PM I kind of want to argue the Headless Horseman's Mount.

But that thing looks so unbelievably kick ass. I need to get it to add to my collection of skill adjusting flying kick-ass horses.

Breakfast Topic: Real life Character Re-Customization {WoW}

Oct 17th 2009 11:35AM So many things I would change... I'd fix my crooked nose, and my hair, maybe a few other things.

Oh, and gender. That's the big one.

Zarhym drops hints about Onyxia encounter, mount drop rate {WoW}

Aug 14th 2009 4:56AM That really depresses me. I was looking forward to the new mount and actually, y'know. Getting it. And if it's Rivendare level rare.. which time frame? Cause they have increased the drop rate twice from like 1 in 10000 to 1 in 100 that it is currently. And after farming for that thing in the 1 in 1000 days.. UGH. Not looking forward to that low a drop rate and sharing it with everyone else.

I still haven't seen a mount drop from any raid, and I've tried for a lot of 'em. Now I'm gonna be depressed... Always a great way to ruin the excitement.

The Care and Feeding of Warriors: Arms waits and waits and waits {WoW}

Mar 13th 2009 2:56PM I highly doubt he has forgotten the Shaman class seeing as Matthew Rossi not only writes the Warrior column on this site but also the Shaman column as well. And the difference between the comparison of 3trees/2specs is that Warriors have melee/melee/tankmelee, while Priests have heal/heal/casterDPS. Shaman on the other hand have casterDPS/melee/heal.

I don't understand why people bother to post things mocking Warriors in a column where we say we haven't seen any changes and want to see some changes. At least give us SOME changes to test. So far in the PTR we've seen negligible adjustments over the entire course. I read patch notes and see half a screen of changes for every other class, and when I scroll down to the Warrior changes I see roughly 2-3 lines, and they are usually minor changes like "Changed Blood Frenzy from 2% to 4%", which is nothing significant.

On a strange note, I play an Arms Warrior on live and generally I end up somewhere in the range of 3-5 on the DPS meters. Now, I know my class fairly well, and I have pretty decent gear for 25mans, outgearing a lot of the other DPS players simple because I've been 80 and raiding since mid-December. So I can't really complain. I'm sure if I found a guild that had every player be wearing best in slot though, that I would drop from #3 to #13, simply because of the way my class works.

I really hope we get some changes on the PTR that are significant soon, just to have some reason to get back on there and test things. I popped on to test out Shattering Throw, got that done, and haven't been back since cause I see nothing worth really testing yet.

The Care and Feeding of Warriors: Scarce Change on the PTR {WoW}

Feb 27th 2009 3:38PM Ya know I hadn't ever thought to make TG Baseline. I play an Arms Warrior as it is (I will pause here so everyone can lol at me. ... .. OK, done? Alrighty.) so I've never been too concerned about dual weilding two-handers. Mostly because I've always been Arms since classic and love the playstyle. That whole naked feeling without Mortal Strike.

But really if they made TG a baseline ability, nerfed us across the board at a 0/0/0 spec, then gave us the talents to bring us to where we should be with all spec's using 2 two-handers, we should be fine. I know it sounds bad to say "nerf us at 0/0/0" but if they did it and then gave us talents that weren't total garbage, unfortunately meaning a full overhaul of pretty much both Arms and Fury trees.... It could just balance out in the end.

At least it gives me something to think about, and hope...

BigRedKitty: Armor penetration stinks {WoW}

Dec 27th 2008 6:51PM In truth Armor Penetration sucks for EVERYONE, not just Hunters.

I've gotten into a ton of arguements in my guild chat just telling people that Armor Penetration is a stat you never want to focus on. If you have two equal pieces of loot and one has armor pen and the other does, take the one that doesn't. It's the only stat that scales down and is therefor worthless in comparison to other stats.

Thanks for writing this, because it makes me feel better that people are being educated about it (oh and that I wasn't wrong all those time, haha.) This coming from someone with a Warrior and a Hunter, so I know it sucks for all of us.

Of course it still has it's uses, but I would never sacrifice other stats for armor penetration. I consider it a nice bonus stat on otherwise good gear, not a stat I look for. Y'know "oh hey that's an awesome ring. And it happens to have armor pen, nice little extra to an already good ring" or something. I dunno..

Exploitation and the demise of Heroic Leap {WoW}

Nov 27th 2008 3:24PM What annoys me about the whole thing is the fact that they, again, flat out lied during the beta as to why they took it out. I remember when they took it out after having played with it some, and GC's response was "it's too hard to code". Bull. Now of course it comes to light they were afraid of exploits in terrain. It could easily have been fixed so that it just leaped to whatever we were targetting. But no that would have been to easy to leave us with a fun ability we would have liked.

GG Blizz.

Forum post of the day: Best LOL moment in "Wrath" {WoW}

Nov 23rd 2008 5:40PM Yeah the first pages are players from the Beta who were generally pretty awesome people. The last page is marked as and shows your name when you read it.

To another post. Demoralized Mmmrrrggglll! was my favorite too.
