Mar 23rd 2008 7:44AM I dont feel like looking back to see who said it, but the guy who mentioned the tech about how azeroth and Outland load differently is right. That is exactly how it works. If we see flyers in azeroth well be waiting untill EVERY zone is developed and goes live. Also think of all the places they will have to REMOVE from the game. The cave at the dwarven airport that leads to old ironforge, the one at the wetlands farms that leads to you falling to your doom through the world. The other cave in the dwarven lands that is still zoned as silithus...the list goes on and on. They would litteraly have to recode the entire world before realeasing that.
Mar 22nd 2008 10:20AM I like most of the races save maybe the owlbeasts. You cant sap em, can't skin em and they have no pockets to pick. USELESS! As far as playable races I like all but the Belf, but I only hate them when they are pallies. They always go ret, and they always gank, I havent met one yet who didnt fit that bill. But what I hate more than anything is all the F'ing children that play this game, you know, the kind that made you stop playing halo way back due to the constant yelling of TEABAG over and overinto the headset. Maybe im getting old. (damn kids and MTV grumble grumble)
Mar 17th 2008 6:16AM OR you could run dual-monitors and browse while doing whatever in game, Im writing this post while AOE grinding with my prot pally :)
Mar 15th 2008 7:27AM I have to say, it sucks but let it go. Before Arena I was A full on Subutle/Assasin rogue using daggers and ambushing for 3500 dmg, then they added resil and my spec became useless.
I was doing 700- 1000 instead. The whole spec was based on burst damage and higher crit rates, which were both nerfed by the same mechanic. I got around it and kept fighting arena by changing my style to Dot poisons and ruptures, but they obviously expanded resil to kill that idea too. F**K resilience. But it happened, And now to keep playing my char Im currently Re-Gearing and respecing to combat swords.
The part that sucks is that if you to be competitive at any one part you have to find the cookie-cutter spec and hopefully just gear/play better.
Mar 5th 2008 6:47PM The easy answer is to model anti-healing effects after the rogues wounding poison, not a flat out 50% right away, but something you have to work you're way up to. It takes my Rogue at least 5 successful hits with a poisoned weapon to get to 50%, (not counting misses, parries, blocks, dodges and resists) and it should take other classes with the effect about as long. To a rogue wars seem OP because they step up to us and with one swing drop a 50% healing debuff that would take us 15-20 seconds to do. So while they drop MS, keep dps up and damage down with plate, we have to drop our dps output by ALOT to drop that same debuff. Same with hunters, takes longer to cast, but still a 50% jump on one attack. Im not QQ ing about it, I like the 10% per stirke I get, I just feel that all effects should be low, not just the Rogues. It would make the mechanic just as good, but require more thought and tactics for using it.
Feb 25th 2008 10:14AM 3/11 only because it's an awesome band.
Feb 11th 2008 2:04PM Add re-enforcements to wsg like say, 300 and have each PK count as one and a flag cap count as 100. 3 caps still win, but if theres turtling going on, it will def end in 20 minutes at most. Give bonus honor for a win to prevent people from just Hk farming. Games will go a little faster than they do now, but are guaranteed to be a fight and not a turtle match. Add in a bonus weekend at say 50 honor for map complete, and WSG will compete with the other bg's no problem.
And I agree with the other changes as well.
Jan 28th 2008 12:56PM I happen to be both Married for a little over a year, and A Guild leader of which my wife is a member. It can sometimes be tough to split your time between the two for sure. I don't have the raid issues that you face because we're not a raiding guild, just a bunch of friends who play together. As GL you have to stay neutral in most cases so I suggest giving more responsibility to your top officers and look for another member that can fill your class role. Take yourself out of the loop just enough to ease tensions on both ends. Don't worry about being left out, you're still GL and can cut in whenever you want (it's good to be the king). If a call must be made that involves her, let someone else make that call so you can't be blamed. You already seem to understand the most important thing about your situation and thats how SHE feels. Just keep in mind that if she did'nt play this game WITH you, she, and by extension you, would'nt get to play nearly as much. But the fact you understand that she plays the game mostly to spend time with you tells me you're on the right track. Good luck to you and your guild.
Dec 27th 2007 3:23PM To completely stop caring about my rating since I regularly go up against teams that are in my rating bracket (1200) and are somehow duelists, rivals and gladiators. Im so tired of being mismatched and getting my ass handed to me completlly trouncing people. NO more fore me once i get my welfare epics.
