Using fear to persuade people is what being a terrorist is. Seems like our government has been quite hippocritical since 9/11.

All the World's a Stage: The past, present and future of roleplaying {WoW}

Dec 30th 2007 7:00PM Explained my experience exactly. I've playing WoW casually for about 2 years on a PvP server, and I decided I wanted to try the RP servers. I thought it would be cool to pretend to be a Tauren druid ridding the world of nature threatening evils, with other people playing in character. What could be more fun than that? I wouldn't take the RP too hardcore just for a few hours of fun every week.

So I create my character on Lightninghoof expecting that, to a huge disapointment of almost no one talking in character except for in their guilds. Kinda sadden me to see that, I wanted a true RP experience based on the WoW lore, not some Blood Elf vampire crap.

I think to improve RP in 2008 people need to come together to keep the community active and fun. I think a monthly State of the Realm would be a good way to keep up on the Active RPing Guilds and the precieved active RPers vs. Non. The only way to truely improve a realm is to stay in character at all times to help encourage other players to do so, even in general channels (except for in a private chat with friends). I for one am going into a new realm friendless, hoping that I can experience a true RP game.

What is the definition of cheating in WoW? {WoW}

Dec 29th 2007 2:07AM This discussion is going to be heavily biased, since most of these people spend so much time in WoW, they don't want to be undermined by a casual player who wants to spend an extra $20 to save 30+ Hours of his life.

Breakfast topic: Do PvP servers have casual players? {WoW}

Dec 28th 2007 9:28AM You're looking at one. While my server's population is low and that might have something to do with it, I hardly find a PvP server annoying, in fact it adds to the challenge. If you're within 6 levels of a player you're probably expected to fight, so you better be sneaky and attack when they're attacking a NPC. But if they're low enough they might have a 70 friend waiting on call. I don't get ganked/camped unless the player (alliance) has nothing better to do so, in which I just log off and come back later. I don't gank if they're 7 or so levels under me. I usually just scare them, or use physic scream every cooldown to annoy them. (unless they attack me, then it's on)

Of course I don't view the game as a time investment to get to 70. I find it fun to play up to 70. In fact it's almost two different games, leveling and end-game. I was recently thinking of creating a alt on a role playing server to enjoy the game more, actually. But I won't unless it's a Rp-PvP, just doesn't have that WoW feel unless it's PvP imo.

WoW Rookie: Welcome to PvP {WoW}

Dec 24th 2007 9:30PM I'm sorry, but if you don't play on a PvP or a RP-PvP server you might as well be playing World of ColdWar.

Greenpeace dismantles iPhone, discovers "hazardous chemicals" {Engadget}

Oct 15th 2007 4:05PM Car Exhaust is hazardous and because we don't eat it we shouldn't worry right?

Same thing with Uranium right? Yummy.

BTW, they're targeting Apple because last time I checked, Apple owns about 75% or more of the MP3 Players business. That's a lot of iPods.

Obviously we can't be environmentally friendly yet support electronics, or at least from the above posters I get that impression.
