Feb 22nd 2009 1:54PM Well, there was a time when Ctrl+Alt+Del didn't suck, but then again, there was a time when dinosaurs ruled the earth.
Feb 12th 2009 8:40AM I can see it now:
Hand-made Italian paper, with deep-maroon velvet stitching of a bottle of red wine, accompanied by a golden piece of cheese, underneath that, in perfect Kurrent writing, embossed with 24-carat plate gold, the words "Reroll, IMO" for all those people whining about Warriors, Priests and Shamans DPSing while playing a Mage, Rogue and Blood Deathknight on the same account.
But since that's pretty redundant, the only other thing I can think of is "Get sunwell soon" for all those new servers who have to unlock the raid content...or is that auto-open? IDK.
Feb 11th 2009 9:38AM Since our guild is made up mostly of bitter single men, the utmost we'll do is mourn our holy priest changing server so he could play in his gf's guild.
But on the upside, not having raids right now would free us all up to do the achievements!
Feb 2nd 2009 10:36AM Whoo boy, wonder why so many people hate gnomes so much. Confidence issues? ; P Wait, I play an Orc Warrior : (
Anyway, my biggest quirk is that when I get on my flying machine, I always take off vertically, except when I'm standing near a cliff, then I just ride off the cliff until fly turns itself on.

Not to be splitting hairs, but those seem more like reasons not to play with the people on that particular server, and have nothing to do with the flavour of the game. But you are right, saying things like that goes beyond "its just a game " and is, well, appalling? We recently had a guild who thought it might be funny to name themselves "eviscerates Draenei children", and as far as I know they were removed within the day after a community uproar. So we're not all monsters.
As for me, I play Horde because, well, villians are always more interesting than heroes. I found out, with time, that the Alliance had its depths and conflict as well, but at the beginning of my playing career, they seemed, well, flat. Goody-goody. The obvious heroes. You name it.
So I became an Orc warrior, and have never looked back. And I have to admit, despite my alt being an Undead Mage, some of the quests in Howling Fjord left me with a bad aftertaste in my mouth.
Oh, and, Varian Wrynn is a loose cannon who will throw the Alliance into a deadly two-way war with the Scourge and the Horde that can have no other victor than the legions of Arthas. Tyrion Fordring to the throne! Down with the Butcher Wrynn! (who would need oil drilling equipment to achieve some character depth. Generic raging war hero, oh yay.)
Nov 28th 2008 8:44AM The damn sentries at Star's Rest in Dragonblight.
Not only do they have an annoyingly large aggro range, their strategy also leaves me a tad puzzled. They charge at me wailing something along the lines of "Foul orc, drive him away!" and then they shoot arrows at me THAT SLOW ME DOWN. So to drive me away, they wish to root me in place? Must be Night Elf zen.
And of course, because they are standing back in their cozy camp, and sniping at me a good 500 yards away, all their mates join in and turn me into a porcupine rather quickly.
So really, why do they have a slowdown ability? To stop Horde characters charge through the camp which has a diameter of roughly 20 feet? To save them the trouble of getting their pixie boots full of snow when giving chase? I know not, and I wish I did.
Nov 14th 2008 10:56AM 70. I got the game on Thursday but I have too much college work this weekend to actually play.
Yes, I put college work before playtime, shocking concept, I know.
Oct 17th 2008 7:06AM I don't see why it's that big of a problem, most Battleground PVP-talk is in English acronyms anyway.
When someone says "need 2 def st & m" in Arathi, it works exactly the same in English and German. Nobody types "sng SF Alterac gruppe" but "lfg bg Alterac grp".
And besides, even a dyslexic piglet could learn the 30-40 English words you need to tell your teammates what to do or what you are doing. So being German is not an excuse. Or French. Or Italian. Or Austrian, like me, for that matter.
Sep 3rd 2008 8:44AM I have a glorious 114 Gold 13 Silver and 12 Copper after buying Mounts for my two Alts and Epic Flying for my main. Before this buying spree, I farmed about 200-400g a day. Now that I have what I wanted, I'm in the usual post-farming slump that probably wont let up until I need money for cold weather flying.
