Feb 9th 2010 6:48PM Poast!
Dec 25th 2009 4:58PM HVH.
I looked at Recount at the end of the run. Results by damage done:
1. Tank (~2200 DPS)
2. Hunter (1.6k DPS)
3. Priest (Healer. Me. 1099 DPS)
4. Scrubby DK (999 DPS)
5. Scrubby Warlock (640 DPS)
Explain to me why I shouldn't be upset, exactly?
Aug 26th 2009 3:57AM If Sennheiser made a headset version of HD580's, I'd snap up a set in a heartbeat.
These headphones were pricey back when I've bought them, but they've lasted me over 10 years now. They're made to last, with replaceable plush ear pads, replaceable plush head pad, easy to replace wires, even replaceable elements. I've replaced the ear pads and head pads once (humans are disgusting, greasy animals) and the wire probably 4 times due to the sheer number of times I've run over it with my chair, but damn these headphones are just awesome.
So unfortunately these headphones are flawed: Too expensive to chuck in the bin and replace, but too cheap to be built well enough to have replaceable parts.
Aug 21st 2009 11:52PM As a DK I am cornered into Blood for DPS as I reach the i232-245-258 ilevel range due to almost all good plate having ARP on it. The simplification of stats is a very, very welcome change.
Aug 18th 2009 7:28AM I've never played WAR, but WoW's new Isle of Conquest (especially the keep/gate aspect) reminds me of this. Blizzard was certainly, shall we say.....inspired, anyway..
Aug 10th 2009 9:14AM * Mage armor has been given a new, unique icon.
Aug 7th 2009 2:17PM "Well, okay, fury's only going to want the axe, but if you're only in Naxx 10 gear that axe is worth considering as superior even to Death's Bite off of KT, although that may be too close to call. "
Edge of Ruin is far superior to even comparable Ulduar weapons, such at Stormedge. This is because Edge of Ruin now has the following stats:
594 - 892
212.3 DPS (same)
Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 62
Equip: Improves armor penetration rating by 76
As you can see, the massive amount of +hit is replaced with crit, and there is significantly more strength.
Jul 26th 2009 3:34PM See, I have a level 80 DK (and level 70 warrior back in the day) and find tanking fairly stressful if playing optimally (ensuring a-hole melee are attacking my target, etc). But my DK is tanking nearly 90% of the time, so I've gotten used to it.
Meanwhile, I just dinged a level 80 druid cross-faction and found healing pugs to be _ridiculously_ easy, so much so that these 21k HP warriors I'm healing start getting cocky and think they are God's Tanking Gift to Earth (ignoring the fact that 4-7k nourishes+living seeds are getting back-to-back chained onto them to keep them alive, but it's still not 'hard' per se).
I think healing as a Shaman would be difficult. I can't imagine what a shaman would be like, with a limited heal set and poor, poor mana efficiency. Shaman by far seem to have the worst passive mana regen in the game, which adds a lot of extra pressure onto your healing throughput.
May 8th 2009 4:48AM "Want me to change? Fine. Start paying my fee and you can tell me how to play."
More appropriately I won't invite you to raid. Shrug. The contract between you and the raid is to do as much damage as you can. That attitude shows that you do not care to abide by your end of the contract.
Raiding is about a group effort. I don't necessarily want to be off-tanking in Ulduar, but I don't mind doing it for our team.
The word you are iconifying is 'selfish'.
Apr 7th 2009 8:15AM I think I am more excited at dual specs than I am about Ulduar ><
Too much coverage of it -- from PTRs to MMO champ, even to WoW insider -- I feel like I've already raided it ad nauseam. It's a very depressing feeling.
