May 14th 2010 10:29AM That depends. WOW will make good use of any hardware you throw at it, so if you can afford the better hardware, go for it - you'll be able to maximise the graphics settings which lets you see further and have smoother animations, especially in the newer areas of the game. Also, it's likely Cataclysm, the next expansion, will have higher system requirements. If you want the computer to last several years, it's probably worth paying the extra.
May 14th 2010 9:57AM Portal runs reasonably well on my 2009 series Mac Mini with the 9400M integrated graphics - I get around 25fps, which isn't fantastic but not bad. I also get a steady 30fps with medium settings on World of Warcraft.
Apr 15th 2010 2:43PM RemoteBuddy does this on the Mac already.
Mar 12th 2010 2:44PM Ok. I read a few Weblogs Inc blogs and usually they stick a disclaimer in whenever another AOL product is mentioned.
Mar 12th 2010 2:39PM You should have maybe reminded visitors that AOL owns DLS and Winamp.
Jan 6th 2010 12:13PM Caschy is correct - it's a release candidate-candidate. The Windows builds haven't been digitally signed, for example.
However, this means it's likely that the actual first release candidate is imminent. Download Squad has just jumped the gun a little.
Apr 4th 2009 12:33PM I second the recommendation for the Firefox PDF plugin - it's free and open source.
Feb 5th 2009 6:42PM Ghostcrawler pic is just pure win.
Jan 15th 2009 8:12AM Gordal is right. There's surely some correlation between age and maturity but it's not absolute - I know some very mature 16 years old who play on my realm (though they're probably 18 year olds now) and some very immature people in their early 20s. And I'd rather not play on a realm where the age restriction is used as an excuse for unnecessary vulgarity.
Jan 13th 2009 8:17AM My girlfriend decided to rename one of her characters when several people told her that it was Greek for 'prostitute'.
I'm quite pleased with my main's name, but I called my alt 'Faelya' in an attempt to create a mythical name. Unfortunately it's also very similar to 'failure'.
