The Queue: Time travel is just the worst {WoW}

Oct 5th 2011 2:18PM The differences between dead, bad, quiet, and cozy are all dependent on your point of view really. I lead a medium-sized guild (2 raid teams) on Blackwing Lair, and we like the cozy feel. Sometimes AH prices are high, but then you take 5 minutes and go farm what you needed.

Anyone who says you can't have great people and great progression on a small realm has obviously been mislead. :)

I will agree, I do wish there were more Alliance to kill.

The Light and How to Swing It: Healing against Shannox and Beth'tilac {WoW}

Jul 24th 2011 7:31PM A helpful tip to other paladins... Don't try to bubble through Beth'tilac's Smoldering Devastation ability on the web... Our protadin and I tried it for fun on the heroic encounter to save some raid damage... we went squish. :)

Of course we figured that there was a pretty solid chance that the bubble cheese wouldn't work... but we had a good laugh.

The Light and How to Swing It: Balancing holy's heals {WoW}

Jun 26th 2011 6:45PM Thanks for another solid article Chase, I am glad that Blizzard is making the changes to diversify our playstyle instead of just beating us with the nerf bat.

For Healadins who are doing more single target healing, this REALLY makes the WoG glyph attractive, this may encourage some players to use the Eternal Glory build again. (I personally like to use 1/2 hp WoG as filler casts but who knows what Firelands will bring!)

Reader UI of the Week: Go hotkey crazy with Vardelm {WoW}

Jun 21st 2011 3:37PM You mentioned you have a G11, I use a G110 and was wondering what you bound all your side function keys to? More specifically, how did you set it up? My G110 defaults to mapping the side macro keys to F1-12.

Thanks.

P.S. Beautiful UI, I will adapt its uniqueness into my own. :)

The Queue: Irrelevant intros are new and exciting {WoW}

Jun 20th 2011 2:18PM We did something similar for our 90 stat feast, we're a smaller sized guild (a 10 man progression raid and an alt/casual run) so I offered every player with 450 fishing or higher 2000 gold from the gbank if they contribute and deposit 100 Highland Guppy or Fathom Eel as proof.

Worked like a charm. I paid out a lot of gold that week, but everyone had fun fishing together.

Jun 20th 2011 12:48PM Oh, the Firestones are also used to upgrade 378 BoE's to 391.

Jun 20th 2011 12:46PM I was referring to the Crystallized Firestone, which are known to be used for upgrading 378 ilvl valor pieces to the 391 versions.

Though it does seem unlikely, it would be grand if you could use one of these Firestones to upgrade your 378 crafted item to the 391 version. That would give many players a piece with much nicer itemization, and you still would need to kill heroic bosses to get it.

Jun 20th 2011 11:49AM First time asking a question on the Queue...

Several guys in my guild have been asking and I have yet to see any information confirming yes or no on this...

Will you be able to upgrade crafted items to their heroic equivalent using the heroic upgrade drops in Firelands?

Jun 20th 2011 11:48AM I logged on late Saturday night (usually our alt-run night) after directing several raiders that they would be in charge of the evenings activities in my absence... to find players clearing through Naxx.

Naked.

I joined them for the last couple wings, and it was a great no pressure activity for everyone. Players were allowed only their main hand and offhand (bows only for hunters), and you were allowed to wear any gear you won inside the instance. Next week they want to do Ulduar...

The Queue: Out of retirement {WoW}

Jun 18th 2011 1:36PM Answer to first person question: YES

Our hunter used to play in first person... In fact he still tanks on his Warrior in first person.

We were all so very confused when we found out, though he started playing in the 3rd person after we started making fun of him. I don't understand how you could play first person and not die on heroic Cho'gall.
