Nov 23rd 2010 2:38PM Because they've had years to figure out how to do it right and still fail every time. All they need to do is overestimate their downtime and nobody would be pissed off.
Oct 7th 2009 9:35AM I PuG a lot of heroics on different toons with varying levels of gear in all roles, and almost always it is the geared players who cause trouble by going too fast, or not respecting party roles (hunters pulling with a misdirect before the tank is ready, for example). I think it's also worth pointing out that regardless if you're running with uber dps, or people that just dinged 80, proper use of utility skills (buffs, interrupts, dispels) can really make a group go much more smoothly. And remember the healer can't heal everybody at once - dps is last priority. Sorry guys, but just don't stand in the fire!
Oct 10th 2008 10:24AM Do you have an event planned for November 4th (US Election Day)? If so, please dish.
Sep 23rd 2008 10:30AM "I keep telling these guys, you are never going to move beyond the entry level shambling undead unless you dress to impress. Moroes was right - some undead just don't want to succeed."
Sep 15th 2008 9:14AM Renew is more useful than is given credit at early levels. Combined with Divine Fire, it can keep you alive for less mana than a shield. As someone who levelled holy, the rotation was holy fire, shadow word pain, smite, wand wand wand wand, and renew if I needed it. The spells used don't matter that much, but open with holy fire if you have it for the small DoT effect.
The main thing about HoTs (and DoTs) is you really want them to tick their fullest. Putting renew on somebody who won't take any more damage (unless they are very injured) is a waste of those healing ticks. Renew really shines if someone is taking a low intensity beating. Just ask those medicine men in northern STV!
Feb 26th 2008 8:55AM Yes, Grid + Clique == healing fun. Without it, in a raid, you're trying in vain to follow the dancing blue bars, or just plain fumbling around.
On another note, when somebody says 'heal me', I say 'tank for me' or 'dps for me'. No other class gets told to do its job as much as healers.
Oct 22nd 2007 9:37AM I have to agree with nav on the futility of a pure Holy spec for a priest, having lived that way for quite some time. While it rocks for groups, as your mana efficiency for heals is excellent, you can't do anything by yourself. Having tried all 3 main trees, I'm liking full Reflective Shield with a minor in Holy talents.
