Feb 25th 2010 1:34AM At first I loved the new LFD system, because all my toons could now get as many dungeons as they wanted, although tanks/healers got groups faster than dps. But after a few weeks the thing that is leaving me most dissatisfied is the rudeness I see in pugs. It was always a problem with pugs, but I think its gotten much worse because all consequences for bad behavior have been removed. Sure, you could act like a jerk before, and ninja all the loot, and insult people in the absolute meanest terms for no good reason, but doing all that would earn you a rep on your server pretty quick, prevent you from getting lot of groups, let alone raids and certainly prevent you from getting into the better guilds.
Now, there are no consequences... And while I think it's interesting that Blizz is collecting this data, I don't really see the collection of the info or possible uses of it as something that will prevent the problem.
It's so bad that I have been logging early, even when I have things I still want to accomplish, and the net result has been far fewer play hours per week. When playing the game leaves you with a really bad taste in your mouth, why play???
Feb 15th 2010 1:59AM "Tension between guild members rose quick and appropriately, my own focus and abilities deteriorated."
Hun, you could always do better, we all could. But the situation as you described it, well, the rest of your raid bears a heavy share of the blame. Sniping, pointing fingers and general poor moral will bring people down faster than tough raid content any day. Nothing distracts people like watching a fight or blamefest unfold. Raid leaders, keep it constructive and put a cork in that baloney before it asplodes your evening.
Jan 28th 2010 1:40PM I do recommend a separate meter channel, just have those who enjoy that sort of thing do a /join guildrecount and they can spam it there to there hearts content. And the rest of us don't have to see it.
Raid leaders, if you are using "HPS" as a measure of who your best healers are, think again. A bad healer can easily top the meters.
Get your own head straight on what makes a good healer and communicate your expectations to your healers.

Are you one of these people who links recount in chat, or asks for it to be linked?
PS the other night I healed a group with two DPS having a pissing contest with recount in chat: please don't do that to the other people in your group, unless you think tanks and healers just grow on trees. If the whole point was to make me think well of you... It didn't.
Nov 12th 2008 7:10AM free the bears, wot?
Nov 7th 2008 9:10PM As others have said above, introducing the CD change to CoH without any compensating changes to other classes or AoE raid damage leaves priests without much raid utility. ALL of our heal types could be better done by other classes. As a raid leader, for 25 man raids, if the change was made, I would bring one, yes one, priest for the fort buff and choose other healing classes over priests any day.
Oct 23rd 2007 11:47AM Like people have said, tanking is harder work than dps'ing, often requires leadership and group skills, and is more stressful. Unless tanking with a DK magically fixes all of that somehow, no, don't think this will solve the tank shortage.
Even though I hate tanking, I'll still be rolling a death knight just to check it out!
