Jul 29th 2008 6:26PM Wow, that's a pretty crappy interface on warcraftmovies.

Have to open a flash frame to view the movies, and they won't even load on my Firefox (even with NoScript turned off) and can't link directly to any of the movies.

Nice site design there.

Apr 9th 2008 8:27AM Indeed it was, Ben. I sent it in myself.

Apparently the folks at Guildwatch don't read their own column. :)

Mar 19th 2008 11:07AM Awesome!

My guild does a Kael'thas dance party.

(Kael has this really odd behavior in phase 1 where you can't harm him but if you move close to him, he'll turn and face you. Needless to say this often amuses our extra tanks and melee waiting for Telonicus to go active.)

Arcane Brilliance: Why we Mage {WoW}

Feb 9th 2008 11:15AM Yes, healthstones (and most other consumables) can crit, it's just a low chance (5% or so, but that's just a guess).

The bubbling lock was likely specced for Nether Protection. Fully specced, it means if you hit him with fire or shadow damage, he becomes immune to fire/shadow for a short time. Try using ice/arcane on him in that situation.

Feb 6th 2008 9:50PM Go swordsmith if you're planning on raiding.

Here's why:

Until you get to Zul Aman or freaking Black Temple, there is not a SINGLE good off-hand sword for a rogue in raiding. None. Nada. Zip. Zilch.

Clearly they expect you to use Latro's Shifting Sword until you get to ZA.

The swordsmith offhands, however, are excellent rogue offhands and will save you from having to PVP to raid.

The Hammersmith MH is nice, but there's similar options at most gear levels. Combat sword rogues are the vast majority of raiding rogues, and they need need NEED a fast offhand for Combat Potency.

GG, Blizz.

Other than that, or if you like arenas, I'd suggest leatherworking. The drums are incredibly great (currently we've got 3 LWers in the physical DPS group in my raid usually, which means a 50% uptime on Drums of Battle. Yummy) and the Primalstrike Vest, Primalstrike Bracers, and Primalstrike Belt are exceptionally good gear.

I know the temptation is to go herb/alch to handle the consumable end, but trust me. If you're in it for the long run, go lvl an alt to 70 and make him mining/herb or something. Your guild has alchemists. Use them.
