Oct 22nd 2011 10:41AM i hate that area of the world, but you look like someone named andrew I knew from that area of rl, who taught me a lot abotu computers like bryce and whatnot; nice interview though. I have that ray and (well had, am not playing wow much) it's a great mount, you definitely sound like you ganking in world pvp.
Sep 15th 2010 11:19AM As always, a pleasure reading an article written by someone so savvy on the rogue class!
Jul 22nd 2010 7:28PM Great article chase. i loved the free-points fun/dps talents dichotomy. Jolly good. Clever free-gouge trick as well!
Dec 3rd 2009 8:14AM Even with experience in BGs I'm massively enjoying getting the best gear and enchants possible on my rogue. Leveled in from 25 to 41 from BG experience only (and 1 or 2 small chains just for the gear rewards). Fun times!
Nov 26th 2008 9:26PM I totally aggree with rotclaw. If people are dumb enough to pay 100g for a port to dalaran...well, they'd probably be in the "complaining about people legitimately charging a fee" bracket anyways. Not saying that 100g is reasonable -- that's disgustingly overpriced, but softie losers who have a heartattack out of jealousy because someone else shrewdly engineered a way to profit from simple portaling should go to hell and the clever ones who profiteered the way shouldn't of course be patted on the back with approval or disapproval but given the respect of someone who atleast understands economy.
Nov 12th 2008 9:06AM As far as I can tell this sounds like complete and utter bs. I wish it wasn't because it'd be great to make that much gold, but look at this math.
Wind Elementals = Drop 1-2 motes of air, 10x combines to 1 Primal Air = ~20g per
Fire Elementals = Drop 1-2 motes of fire, 10x combines to 1 Primal Fire = ~25g per
Water Elementals = Drop 1-2 motes of water, 10x combines to 1 Primal Water = ~20g per
2 hours of farming yielded 978g
978g 2 hours..... if we say half of that was from fire primals and half wind primals, let's so the "primal price" for this round was the average of 20 and 25, or 22.5g. Great, so 978/22.5 = 44 primals. Great so according to this guide, 44 primals were farmed and sold as fire primals and wind primals for roughly 978g.
44 primals...hhmmm... let's see now. IF every single elemental dropped 1-2 (1.5 average) motes (which they DO NOT because they only occasionally drop motes) how many elementals would have to be killed to get 44 primals?? 44 primals is 440 motes. 440/1.5 = 293 elementals needed to be killed in TWO hours and all of them would have to drop 1-2 motes??????????? wtf? crock of horseshit!!
120 Minutes in 2 hours. So the rate of this pathetic crock of shit, bogus explanation (that's completely false and the author of this forum should be condemned for fraudulence) that would be 293 elements per 120 minutes!
Which is killing an elemental 24 seconds and having them "all" drop 1-2 motes. FRAUD. LIAR. FALSE.
besides this is a sheer crap waste of time method of going about earning gold.
Jul 7th 2008 11:26AM Good insight about "mobileme" sounding not so "mac-esque". I seriously see the benefit in this if you have (for example) a macbook, mac, or iphone. Any 3+ mac setup would almost require mobileme. But other wise, just an iphone and 1 other mac I think you could easily get by with IMAPing and local usb syncs. But the freedom of that wireless syncing is REALLY cool and think a lot of commentors are just curmudgeonly about already having a .mac. come on. How could you NOT want that?!! I don't know. I'm still finding cool features in leopard so I'm satisfied but one thing I AM very interested in getting away from is gmail. gmail has the mot hideously god-awful IMAP bugginess possible. Having a solid mac domain would set things right finally with email I think.
