Aug 14th 2008 4:26PM There actually is an achievement for soloing Onyxia in Beta right now, but it's marked as being a "test" achievement, so I'm doubting it will go live.
Aug 14th 2008 1:48AM Glad I hit 77 last week. :P
I can understand an increase in XP, as I skipped many quests in each zone and was leveling super fast (with rested XP mostly). I got to pick and choose what quests I wanted to do and which would take too much time/effort. I figured that way, some stuff will still be fresh and new for me when it goes live.
If this XP increase sticks, I'll definitely get a chance to do each and every quest I skipped. -_-
Aug 13th 2008 12:34AM Acess to Dalaran isn't really as big of an advantage as access to Shattrath was/is due to the ease of transportation with boats (and i'm assuming zeppelins as well).
I kept myself bound in Shattrath and when I needed to see a trainer when I gained a new level, I just hearthed to Shattrath and took the portal to SW (I'm a druid so IF wasn't an option), trained, and hopped on the boat to Borean Tundra. If you end up leveling in Howling Fjord, then IF would be your choice and then on to Menethil for the boat.
It's really not a huge difference going to Dalaran rather than Shattrath.
Aug 6th 2008 6:13PM How is this new? These are the animations bear mobs in Grizzly Hills use while standing around. Possibly other bear mobs do it as well, but I only noticed it in Grizzly Hills when I was near a stream and watched a bear catch a trout.
Jul 29th 2008 2:47PM Great advice. :) Being prepared for any situation is the key to being a good feral druid. We have a bit more flexibility than a Boomkin or a Tree since we can fill 3 separate roles quite well given that we are properly geared for it. Our heals won't be as powerful as a Tree, but with good healing gear on, our heals are very helpful.
Personally, my favorite combo for tanking Kara has always been a prot pally and myself....prot pally handles the large AoE pulls and I handle all the single target stuff or anything that needs to be picked up on the fly. Makes for a really quick run. :D
Jul 13th 2008 4:07PM Healers are the biggest drama queens from my experience.
Had all the priests in my old guild go on "strike" because some of the resto druids were complaining that the priests weren't healing as well as they should be, due to the fact that most of them were some stupid hybrid holy/shadow spec so they could pvp and raid. (This was waaay back pre-BC.) They were some of the most immature and attention starved people I've ever had the misfortune of playing with....and sadly almost all of them were over the age of 25 (a few even in their 40's!).
May 11th 2008 3:32PM I find it funny that casual players are the new QQ'ers after Blizzard has done nothing but bend over backwards to make them happy. So far, in every post made about WOTLK in the past few days, 90% or so of the complaining has been coming for people who "have better things to do" than raid.
If you're only playing an hour or 2 a day a few times a week, this game should mean pretty much nothing to you, since you don't really experience much of it in such a short amount of time. So, why should you be rewarded for that?
I honestly think these people want pre-made level 70 characters with full T6 just handed to them. What the hell is the point of playing a game like this if you don't want to achieve anything on your own? That's one of the most fun aspects of the game IMO.
If you don't have time to play, oh well too bad! Cancel your damn account and stop crying about paying $15 a month.
Apr 27th 2008 2:57PM Autobar is fully configurable and you can disable any aspect of it you don't find useful. It's superior if only for the fact that it doesn't waste precious macro slots and doesn't require a single action bar button. Definitely one of the addons I refuse to play without and will likely never replace.
Apr 15th 2008 3:43PM Many of the items you referred to as "the best" either now or pre-2.4 aren't the best at all. I'm assuming you meant to say the best without being able to raid?
I'd suggest people use this list of gear to see a more straight forward breakdown of all the gear available for bear tanks. http://www.emmerald.net/Bear_High_Mitigation/Index.html
