Mass bannings strike Glider users {WoW}

May 20th 2008 8:48PM "be realistic"

Lol, I'll have to agree 100% with you there, it ain't really plausible. But when you have 365 000 accounts being banned in a day, you do start asking yourself questions.

I did went back and read all of Blizzard's ToS before logging back into the game, just to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong. We do tend to read these things pretty hastly ...

Mass bannings strike Glider users {WoW}

May 20th 2008 8:39PM Call me naïve, but a friend of mine was banned today, and I'm pretty sure it's a mistake on Blizzard's behalf. I mean, it's not like I live with the guy or anything, hence why I can't know for sure, but don't go tell me Blizzard bans 365 000 account without, making, any, mistake. At all.

If the guy had been botting I think I would have seen his toons online more often during the day, but he's not there since he's working (I play a bit at work, that's how I know). He's the kind of guy who's really dedicated to his toon, he raids with him all the time, and does not give a damn about BGs. Did he used a bot to level an alt? I doubt so, but yeah, he could have.

Point ain't to defend someone in particular. He's just a guy with whom I kill bosses in raids so yeah, he might be guilty and I wouldn't know about it. Point is, don't tell me Blizzard bans 365 000 accounts without first hearing the banned person's version and does not make a single mistake in the process. The forums currently are full with QQing, most of which may be made by people trying to make believe they are innocent when they are not, but I'm sure some of them are being honest. In any case I hope, because I liked this guy, and still do. He's a great team member and seems like a fairly good human (from what the internet showed me of him). It ain't no reason to unban a cheater though, I know, but I hope it did was a mistake on Blizzard's behalf.

Also, from what I've read in the garguartuan thread on Blizzard's Customer Service Forum, people seem to refer to third-party software as being the primary source of the mass banning. Now I know this may refer to Glide, but I was wondering if in-game addons could infringe on Blizzard's ToS?

WoW Moviewatch: How to Paladin XXIX {WoW}

Apr 11th 2008 3:39PM Man I love this guy.

UI changes in 2.4 {WoW}

Feb 11th 2008 5:12PM One option I'd be begging for would be the option to toggle friendly players names off when you're in a raid or a in group. I find myself activating and deactivating it everytime I quit/join a raid.

In groups, you just don't need it as if you can't identify one of the 4 other people with you just by their looks, well, I don't know what to say. As for raids, the same applies (although it does get more confusing), but the over-abundance of names appearing in my screen is just too much for me to handle.

One way to get rid of this would be to have the makers of Aloft allow different display options for friendly party/raid members.

Breakfast Topic: What do you like best about your class? {WoW}

Feb 4th 2008 3:11PM And when Captain America decides to bump off a critter and unto the next group, that's when you really start to feel a connexion with your healer, and an undeniable love for Ardent Defender. :P

Feb 4th 2008 8:20AM Paladin tanking FTW. Nothing beats getting healed through a 7-8 elites pull.

Your favorite music {WoW}

Jan 25th 2008 11:54AM I love your tastes. :)

Here are your fake (real?) patch notes {WoW}

Jan 24th 2008 1:55PM Reducing the cast time on Avenger's Shield would mean sick added threat for protection pallies. A 1 sec. cast time leaves you opened to crushing blows for way too much time on certain fights (on other fights it stil can be used if timed right). 0.5 sec. should make it constantly useable on every fights, I think.

Breakfast Topic: Blizzard made me quit {WoW}

Jan 17th 2008 9:33PM I second that, try PvPing as a tank and cry. Of course I can carry the flag, but then again a druid is was better. So I put on crappy healing gear and heal ... and most of the time I'm on top in healing done, and I'm prot spec. Now WTF?

Blizzard either needs to not force people (especially tanks, come on, the only viable upgrade to Crystalforged Sword is the Gladiator's Gavel, not counting the Fang of the Leviathan, and I'd rather pick up a PvP weapon then piss my casters) into playing PvP, or fix it for good.

Breakfast Topic: Blizzard made me quit {WoW}

Jan 17th 2008 11:26AM I stand corrected then. My point was more that the only reason I could understand someone would quit WoW over the unavailability of the ghost wolf was that he planned on leveling a hunter just to get it, which I might have a found a bit excessive.
