Jul 28th 2010 11:48AM With the changes to paladin's Holy Wrath in Cataclysm, will the spell now work on mobs other than undead?
May 12th 2010 1:49PM If I am on my tank and sell instant random dungeon queues, is that a bannable offense? There seems to be requests for this on my server, but I don't want to do it if it will get me banned.
May 5th 2010 5:20PM I hate that pallies have the reputation, as there are obviously those of us that are truly good at our class. I really want the chance to prove it. In LK, everyone I knew rolled a pally because they were the flavor of the month. I want to be the worst flavor, so that people know I am good if I can make the worst flavor taste delicious!
May 3rd 2010 5:57PM It is for all the reasons listed above that I am excited for the change. It may come with some limitations, but I am more interested in seeing the game move away from a huge epeen waving gearfest into a guild mentality where people care who they play with rather than what it gets them.
As a long time guild leader and raid leader, I don't care if this prevents some level of "rising above" other raiders. I think the game is more fun when I can focus our guild on running content and having fun.
Jul 21st 2009 5:21PM The problem is that a "good" disc priest should be basically shield spamming the entire raid while (for example) backing up MT heals with penance, pain suppression, etc. To get the most out of a disc priest you need them to be shielding everything in sight, taking the burden off the other healers. This is why it's hard to have 2 "good" disc priests, because they can't both do that.
It is possible to have more than one disc doing this as long as shielding assignments are divided up, but if you have a solid disc priest they can keep a 25 man raid shielded most of the time as long as they know the fights and know who will be taking damage when (remember you don't need everyone shielded throughout the entirety of every boss fight). This actually led us to require one less healer in our 25 man runs and we could bring another dps and started downing the last Ulduar keepers on 25 and even some hard modes on 10.
Jul 21st 2009 8:06AM This will definitely help since my guild can typically only raid 25 mans 2-3 nights a week. We continually get 3/4 keepers and cannot go further due to time constraints. This also leads to the raiders being very good at strats for early bosses and terrible for the later ones due to fighting them less frequently.
May 6th 2009 9:20AM This. I know my guild will bring 20-30 ppl over to WG just to win so we can run vault. I wouldn't touch the place otherwise, and I bet many raiders are the same.
It's good that it has incentives so ppl use it, but the flooding of ppl is not necessarily due to it being awesome (although I do think it's fun).
Apr 29th 2009 9:32AM I am going to yell at both sides (FYI, I am a hardcore raider).
To those supporting nerfs: Stop sucking and whining about raiding being hard because some of us want some challenge and sense of accomplishment still.
To those whining about those supporting nerfs: OMG now more ppl can raid and get uber gear and you'll have no other way to show everyone how awesome you are in your digital game! Get over it, raiding is more accessible and you get hard modes to crack your head on. I'll be impressed when you clear out all the hard modes and are farming it like Naxx was in 2 weeks.
Bottom line: no one will win this argument. This is what WoW is, do it or quit (that goes to both sides).
Mar 25th 2009 2:03PM This.
You can't and shouldn't be able to stand toe-to-toe with plate classes. You need to USE your CDs to outmaneuver and beat them, while clothies are pretty much your cannon fodder.
Talk to mages, who still have to work their butts off to kill the classes that are easiest for them to kill.
