Aug 5th 2008 10:55AM Apologies for what appears to be copying the above statements. Seems like a few of us were thinking the same thing at about the same time.
Aug 5th 2008 10:53AM Um...
Since when is a 41/20 a leveling build of anything? That's an End Game mathematical number. LEVELING.
Please; give advice to the level 30, 40, 50 and 60 Hunter. Buckets of 10 seems like a pretty decent number.
Aug 3rd 2008 7:17PM This should have nothing to do with Heroic v Non Heroic. I don't want an easy Dungeon. Easy Dungeon Normal = Easy Dungeon Heroic. Blizzard. Hello. Hi. Wake up.
Jul 28th 2008 7:03AM DK LF4M, have tank, heals and DPS.
Smooth move ex-lax, create ONE new class to play with. I swear Blizzard has donkey balls for brains. No offense to anyone who does in fact have donkey balls.
Jul 17th 2008 12:07PM Though I argue against your Hunter naming points; they're not half as bad as the Mages and Locks going around.
Spellsteal, Lancer, Frosty, Fireballz, FrozenFlame, Spiritoffire...
Soulstoner, Dotyou, Imdots, Warloxx, Soulburn, Soulfire, Afflictionz, Afflickshun...
Good God I need to stop. Guess who is who.
Jul 17th 2008 11:41AM I blame Legolas. Seriously.
Fun stats there.
Jul 17th 2008 5:43AM "Some blamed the original poster for inviting not only a Hunter, but a Night Elf Hunter to the group."
No need to incorporate this crap in your article. Night Elf and Hunter has nothing to do with anything, if you're a wanker you're a wanker. You might as well have written the rest of your article in 1337. It's that childish a statement...
The onus rests on the Party/Raid leader to set the Group Loot settings or even do a spot Armory check.
Jul 8th 2008 8:20AM Doesn't anyone else hate the fact that this game has turned into a Daily Quest grind with *gasp* the same content over and over?! I hear so many people talking about how glad they are to not have to re-visit that old world content unless they want a recipe or faction rewards or whatever.
But now it's the same content. Every. Single. Day.
I've read people hoping there are new Dailies at level 80. Or hoping we can start doing them prior to 80 for experience instead of gold. Are you kidding me? Is that what we are looking forward to? More Dailies? There must be a better way to entertain us and provide us the means to sustain an acceptable income. The server wide unlocking was a step in the right direction, sure, but it prolonged the inevitable. I'm not anti-Daily; I embrace it's attempt at giving us something to do each time we log in. I feel that it's too generic and the rewards having no identity.
I think the answer lies in making more stuff hard to get. Like the Netherwing Epic Flyer grind. Yes it was a pain in the bum. Yes it felt like a never-ending grind. But at the end of it was something that really mattered, something that set you apart from the crowd. Something that didn't require luck, rather something we can all have. A bit of time and dedication.
I propose that Blizzard gives more terrible grinds to choose from. More obscure factions that offer great rewards that are really hard to get. Perhaps even limit a player to one or a couple different grind choices; like Professions. The rewards at the end would need to be drastically different. They can't be coloured differently. They can't have more crit on one and more spell spell damage on the other. We need cool rewards that cannot be obtained by everyone that will make us stand out in the crowd.
I don't want to see 30 people running around on Bear Mounts in front of the Iron Forge Bank. I'm not against providing the chance to get a cool looking mount or trinket from a percentage drop. I am against offering easy paths to rewards that were once hard to get. Such as the Orb of Deception. Once upon a time it was cool to surprise your group by turning into Horde for 5 minutes. Now it seems like everyone has an Orb of the Sin'dorei.
And if Blizzard must continue to inject gold into the economy I am not totally against tying in a limited set of Daily Quests. Give us more choices. Block us from certain paths once we have chosen. Make us unique again.
Jul 2nd 2008 9:34PM One of the columns I do watch at WOW Insider. Keep up the good work.
Jul 2nd 2008 9:10PM I couldn't agree more. This post (and many others) serves only as a feeding mechanism for trolls and uneducated readers claiming they have the inside information on exact dates and information. No, you don't. There's no algorithm to determine release dates.
