Have Group, Will Travel replaced with faster flight paths, flask "Chug-A-Lug" perk removed {WoW}

Mar 22nd 2012 12:49PM I can't believe how much whining I am seeing. If this sucks so bad, just cancel your account and go do something else..... holy mother of Christ. If only I could fuel my car on WHINING FROM WOW PLAYERS.

For several years we lived without HGWT. I'm sure everything will be just fine in MoP. Don't like it? Go somewhere else.

Mar 21st 2012 11:54AM Q4TQ:

Awhile back you had a piece on tips for new bloggers. One of the tips was to never hide your article behind a cut. Well, it seems that WoW Insider engages in this practice. I enjoy reading this blog on my BlackBerry but unfortunately its web browser is slow as a dinosaur. I can easily read every other blog including MMO Champion in my Google Reader without having to click through to a browser. Any chance this blog could start taking up this practice? Seems hypocritical to have an article suggesting other bloggers don't make their readers jump through a cut, but this one does it and it makes me a sad panda. :(

Mists of Pandaria: Yes, you get another character slot {WoW}

Mar 19th 2012 12:47PM Why can't WoW take a hint from Runescape. Your toon shouldn't be tied to a specific server. Why not pick a server to play on when you log in? Yes, there would be some technical details to work out, but this would make life a lot easier!

The Queue: Whoa, it's Saturday! {WoW}

Mar 17th 2012 12:14PM When will Blizzard fix the Shield Enchant - Intellect III enchant scroll to the same item format as every other enchant scroll? This one is like a brown cow. It doesn't fit in my enchanting bag with the rest, and the wording is different (it should read Enchant Shield - Intellect.)

Also, how come crafting 22 slot bags takes a couple of seconds, while 16 slot bags still take like 20 seconds each to make?

Is it time for daily guild XP limits to be removed? {WoW}

Mar 17th 2012 12:11PM Removing the daily XP cap from 1-25 seems like a good idea. As many commentators have pointed out, many guilds aren't even reaching the cap. However, I think that's working as intended. If you're a really small guild you can't expect to get to the level cap as fast as a Mega Guild. It's the middle of the road guilds that will benefit the most from removing the daily XP cap, and that seems pretty fair to me.

Mar 16th 2012 7:20PM I've been a subscriber since 2006, and I have yet to receive any free perks. I have paid about $1000 in subscription fees.

My friend who played for a couple of months in 2006 & a couple of months in 2008, has paid about $60 of subscription fees.

Blizzard, YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG. Don't be like the cable company. If you are going to give inactive members perks for coming back, do something for your loyal subscribers. It doesn't have to be expensive, maybe a pet, mount, or other collectable item. But don't ignore us, that's simply bad business.

Mar 16th 2012 7:11PM "The IRS says you are only required to file taxes if make over $9,500 or something around that."

Please cite your source.

This is blatantly incorrect, and I encourage anyone reading to discuss tax information with their accountant.

Being a minor does not stop you from having to file a tax return and possibly pay income tax. Neither does making under $9,500. IIRC, the minimum is about $400, though again I highly recommend consulting with a CPA for tax information and not some random Joe Schmo on the internet.

If you make under $9,500 and over $400 but haven't filed a tax return, the IRS would like to have a word with you about paying some interest and penalties.

Mar 16th 2012 11:33AM I LOL'd at the "spread the wealth around" line.

It's not hard to make gold - there are a multitude of blogs and forums out there for anyone to learn for FREE.

You can't multiply wealth by dividing it!

Blizzard layoffs could mean many things {WoW}

Mar 2nd 2012 5:17PM As a business owner, I have a strict zero employment policy. This prevents me from having to deal with any negative public relations fallout. Never hire, never fire!

Blizzard laying off 600 staff globally [Updated] {WoW}

Feb 29th 2012 1:16PM Loyalty?

I don't know what the average salary is for a Blizz employee, but 600 employees times let's say $25,000 - that's $15 MILLION per year.

A corporation's LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY is to make a profit for their stakeholders. Bleeding out 15M per year when they're overstaffed is breaking that legal contract.
