World of Warcraft hits 11 million subscribers worldwide {WoW}

Oct 28th 2008 1:14PM No they are not. 11 million active accounts.

Factual errors abound in ExtremeTech commentary {WoW}

Mar 29th 2008 8:30PM I get tired very quickly of the 'Blizz is lazy' comments when those who make them really mean 'Blizz isn't doing something that I want'.

As for world PvP, who's stopping people from doing it? People complain about guards in cities, but that isn't PvP either - it's just another form of PvE, by trying to kill racial leaders. The best 'world PvP' I've been involved in was outside of Stormwind, with no NPCs involved - apart from the odd wolf or stray cat.

Oh, and druids? Well, even according to WI, we're overpowered, although I'm sure that most of us who play balance or feral would disagree.

Predicting the WoTLK cinematic {WoW}

Mar 19th 2008 7:30PM Has to be a giggly female gnome with pink hair in there somewhere!

Of course, since the gnomes are (in)famous for their engineering, maybe it's them behind the camera?

About the Bloggers: Mike Schramm {WoW}

Mar 18th 2008 8:39PM Agreed :p

Seriously, come on back!

It's Druid's turn for a(nother) nerf {WoW}

Mar 16th 2008 12:33PM A 'class perk'???

Although I don't use it very often (and I don't play arena on my druid), how would any other class like one of their spells (one we get at level 70 too) to be called a 'class perk'?

Yet again, it will affect mostly balance druids, and, to a lesser extent, feral druids, neither of which are represented much in arenas already.

What Blizzard giveth, Blizzard taketh away - it's becoming a druid mantra by now, I would imagine.

Excerpts from the Book of Gears: The mysticism, mayhem, and madness of mechanics {WoW}

Mar 6th 2008 9:04PM Maybe it's the time of day your articles are posted or it's the subject matter, but I'm usually a bit disappointed by the (lack of) reaction to this part of the column. However, it's good to see that this particular edition has garnered more comments, and deservedly so.

Sometimes I think that you're too good for this place ;)

Kalgan offers a possible WoTLK sneak peek for Warlocks {WoW}

Mar 6th 2008 8:51PM Wow, way to overreact guys!

We're talking about 1 possible spell from one of 10 classes, 9 of which will probably get 4 or 5 new ones each and the other one being a whole new class.

Having a druid main, I'd love to see poisoned claws and some sort of vanish mechanism, but who knows what all the classes are going to be getting - certainly none of us!

And, yes, I do have a warlock alt, but he's certainly well down my list of characters to play.

Inscriptions hidden in patch 2.4 {WoW}

Mar 5th 2008 12:03AM I'm really looking forward to finding out the full range of inscriptions that are going to be available - as well as the materials that will be needed.

Thinking of paper might lead to some thoughts about herbs, whilst runes might involve jewels, but who knows.

As to this particular inscription - making judgments on the whole profession based on that is like saying you don't like tailoring because Azure Silk Pants aren't that wonderful ;)

Small buffs for Mage, Druid, Priest; small nerf for Shaman {WoW}

Feb 25th 2008 9:51PM These ones do:

I wonder if this is linked to the similar changes in a lot of druid PvP sets.

"IT'S WHISPER QUIET!"

Haha - I think the Cenarion Expedition needs to investigate for noise and atmospheric pollution!

Seriously, I hope my engineer can scrape together the gold to get his riding skill up from 75 in time to make this for lvl 70.
