Oct 12th 2010 1:36PM Blizzard is about as good at predicting patch downtime as Professor Trelawney is at predicting... well, anything.
Mar 23rd 2010 5:17PM Well, yes and no.
WoW site ===> WoW is an MMO ===> other MMO
That's your line of thinking. I personally think that's a stretch too far. Any of my friends or guildies that I talk to about WoW.com come here to hear news, occasionally read an article about their class or the lore, and that's about it.
So yeah, I personally think that this column is off topic. While it is not as off topic as Russian politics, Biology, or the meaning of the universe, that doesn't mean it's not off topic.
Mar 23rd 2010 4:59PM No, actually. It's not "I don't like this column, therefore it should be removed."
I don't read almost half the articles at WoW.com, but I wouldn't make such statements about them (except possibly for the constant promotion of the Creative headsets)
What I was saying is, "Most people don't have an interest in this column. It is not on topic. It is against the purpose of the site. It doesn't belong on a World of Warcraft fansite/newssite"
Like I said, I have a lot of respect for WoW.com, but this was just my input on this particular column.
Mar 23rd 2010 4:06PM I say this with the most respect for WoW.com....
This has got to be the least relevant bit on the site. Most of us come here to read about World of Warcraft, not other MMOs.
While I won't deny that there are probably some people here that care about other MMOs, this is a WoW related website. You're going to attract WoW players. Not Guild Wars 2 fans.
Just something to think about
Mar 9th 2010 7:35PM Dood.
I'm in NYC, and I'm on this guy's server.
NYC MURADIN REPRESENTIN'!
But you fail for going Horde ^.^
Feb 26th 2010 2:46PM Not many people will know that GM island actually has vendors on it. When you go there on a private server (I did this about a year and a half ago, on a 2.3 or 2.4 client or something), there are vendors that only can be seen as a GM. These vendors sell every piece of armor and token in the game.
For armor and weapons that cost tokens in normal game, they will have the same cost as well, but the tokens will be available for money (which GMs can use a dot command to generate)
I wish I had taken photos, though. Never even occurred to me. I could try seeing if I have any on my laptop...
Feb 17th 2010 7:01PM Uhm... This is fake. When the camera zooms in on the health bar, you can see that the tank is still alive and the dragon has warrior bleeds on it.
Meaning that the dragon died likely a second after this video was cut.
Sorry, but that's just lame.
Nov 7th 2009 2:04PM Honestly, who gives a crap?
Jul 29th 2009 4:36PM @Monion
Of course the adults are to blame! Do you think this article or anything I said was directed at the kids?
And honestly, your first sentence made me lol. Are you really trying to tell me you'd rather have a 5 year old incompetant person in your raid than a 24 year old incompetant person?
As far as just "going somewhere else", why should I have to do it? Why are they there in the first place? But I won't even go into that argument because that is just a matter of opinion.
I usually CAN go somewhere else. It doesn't bother me when I can.
But in level 19 WSG when my twink is grouped with 9 level 10-13s who can't spell "flag", yeah I'm gonna be pissed.
Or in a raid situation where they don't understand a single word you're saying.
Jul 29th 2009 4:19PM They usually don't stick to just picking flowers, if they did, I wouldn't care. It's when they get on their parent's toons and run around in circles in raids and heroics that I have a problem with.
And the kids who hit level 10 and think it's time to try the battlegrounds
