Feb 6th 2009 2:28PM Bated is a shortened form of abated. Bated breath means holding you breath in anticipation. So they do not in fact mean something totally different.
If you are going to correct someone at least make sure you are correct.

Bated is just a shortened form of abated (meaning - to bring down, lower or depress). So, 'abated breath' makes sense and that's where the phrase comes from.

685 for Horde
Also reading comments on Wowhead it seems they fixed issues with some quests not counting.
Nov 25th 2008 6:46PM Question for the Horde apologists:
Why do they still call themselves The Horde.. oh sorry The New Horde?
If I wanted to lead Germany I wouldn't name my group the New Nazis. I'd think of something else to call us.

Oct 27th 2008 2:23PM I was very excited about it when it started. A few things bothered me about the way it was executed.
1. It was during Hallows End. Why have it during a holiday when it is so disruptive?
2. After about 15-20 minutes being a zombie wasn't all that interesting. I'll confess I've never seen the appeal of zombie movies, but still walking very slowly towards a target then spamming a couple of attacks isn't that exciting to me.
3. It wasn't as immersive as I'd like. Until yesterday the faction leaders just stood there like targets. No extra guards, no visible sign that anything had changed. I'd prefer that the factions mobilize the people to find a cure much like the AQ opening events.
4. Server lag issues still weren't solved and only made worse by this.
It is possible to have criticisms and still respect Blizzard for what they have tried. It was only a few days and was very cool lore-wise.
