WoW Insider's Loot-idays: Day two {WoW}

Dec 24th 2008 1:02PM I want a pony!

Hunter pet oozes with charm {WoW}

Dec 10th 2008 7:29PM Or if you're on Shadow Council, you sit around for two weeks as EVERY daily but A Cleansing Song shows up, sending sad hunters asking on General chat for days. -_-

Jewelcrafting's flawed design {WoW}

Dec 10th 2008 6:37PM Wow. Claiming JCing is the worst craft in WoW right now is incredibly shortsighted, and going to infuriate the rest of us.

Blizzard is forcing JCers to make choices, rather than have over 100 recipes handed to them. Oh noez! You can't have everything at once? Perish the thought! Make choices, decide what cuts are most important to have first.

For most people, there's nothing more to buy than the Mammoth with the Shards, and once you run heroics, you end up with them coming out of everywhere. You can basically get 1 recipe per heroic run, if not more, with the Shards you get -- doesn't sound too bad to me.

The token system ensures that JCs can make serious, serious money. Fast cash? Buy a Dragon's Eye. Money for cuts? Plan wisely. Earthsiege diamonds are 75g uncut on my server, 200+ cut. It's RIDICULOUS.

Oh noez, there's not sockets in leveling gear? Of course not. But there's tons in 80 gear, which is where more and more people are. People don't normally enchant their leveling gear either, but I don't see enchanters complaining about it. Things like eternal belt buckles are actually giving MORE JC opportunities.

Most crafts lack most lvl 80 and high end gear. Tailors spend TONS for the last few points with no gear to make it needed. Alchemists, my dear alchemists, get one new recipe PER WEEK, if that. They'd all LOVE tokens. You can choose your recipes, scribes and alchies can't, and that's a huge advantage. That expertise elixir I discovered sure helps my hunter... oh wait, no. JCs can't have it all NOW NOW NOW, but they have a chance to make cash and prioritize their recipes. We'd love that chance in the rest of the crafting sphere.

The World (of Warcraft) is full, please come back later {WoW}

Nov 13th 2008 10:34PM 840-something on Shadow Council. About a 35 minute wait expected, but I'm not optimistic. And I'd been grumpy about the 40-50 person queues we've had popping up on the weekends lately... silly me...

This is a little ridiculous.

An end to Hallow's End {WoW}

Nov 3rd 2008 2:01AM I wish I'd gotten the mount, but I'm relieved it's over in a lot of ways -- between this and Brewfest, I really want a break from holiday boss-grinding.

Ran it every day with 5-8 summons, saw the mount once. Lost the roll.

Got the pet from Treat Bags, I saw it pop up four or five times. It was nice to get it from the Treat Bag, took a lot of stress away and let some guildies get it.

Got the Hallowed Helm from the boss, saw that one drop a LOT. Got everything for my title!

Wanted the sword, saw it drop twice -- I won the roll once but passed it to a friend since they could use the upgrade and I just wanted the army of pumpkin soldires. I assumed I'd see it drop again, silly me. :-(

Hopefully there'll be some version of the sword dropping next year, and the mount -- I'd love to get another shot at both.

Giveaway Monday: How I Met Your Mother season three DVD {AOL TV}

Oct 9th 2008 11:08PM Barney is one of the most hilarious characters on television today -- and HIMYM is my post-work relaxation vice, so I'd love to be hooked up with something to let those first two season DVDs get a break. :)

The show is clever and the characters are awesome. What's not to love?
