Feb 10th 2009 10:38PM I would argue that positioning and skill in moving intelligently is far harder than spamming a snare and then circle strafing someone to death. But I still won't put Death Grip in the same class as other forms of CC because Death Grip moves the target. It's an entirely different dynamic that throws up a big middle finger to people who have learned how to move as part of their tactical repertoire.

Feb 10th 2009 7:36PM I used to safety queue other battlegrounds to help avoid pugs. Now I do it to avoid DK heavy pugs. Truth.

Especially in SoTA where several DKs casting Deathgrip can keep tanks from getting ANYWHERE.

Now that we're on the subject, Deathgrip pretty much screws over anyone who knows how to use terrain to their advantage. I hate fighting a DK when I'm playing my Hunter. Positioning is everything for a Hunter to succeed and they just take that away from me.

When I was doing dev work for a miniature gaming company we wrote "The Tenets of Good Game Design" .#1 Never design a spell, ability or effect that allows a player to move or control their opponent's miniatures.

So to me, Deathgrip is PURE 100% FAIL on the part of the devs. At the least it should NOT affect enemy players or vehicles. However it's fine for PVE.

Jan 24th 2009 1:06PM I hope BRK is reading this because I have a few questions.

Why on earth wouldn't you use Freezing Arrow? Even if the target is immune to being frozen should it not proc L&L since they "stepped" into the trap?

Also, why Sniper Training? With that rotation and the short range you're never getting the benefit. Is it simply for 15% crit chance on KS? I thought that only applied if you were 30 yards away or further.

And finally Aimed Shot. I don't see it in your rotation--it seems like a weak nod to part time PvPing. You could drop this for 2/2 GFTT or you could lose 2 points from Mortal Shots and get 3/3 Focused Aim.

Jan 17th 2009 9:10PM We all love to be OP but Arcane mages don't require skill, their burst is tied to maybe 3 very easy to use spells and they need a huge nerf. Not buffs. The calls for reducing Arcane mage burst are not silly or vindictive. It is a fact that an Arcane mage can burst someone down inside the span of a counterspell silence even if they have close to 1K resilience. This is not balance. It's pure OP ridiculousness.

Anyone calling others silly for stating that Arcane needs to be toned down is either trolling or fooling themselves.
