Nov 3rd 2008 5:34PM On Alleria-US about 100-120 Alliance stormed and killed the 4 horde leaders three nights in a row. (It was organized so a different raid got the tag on the boss each night, so all participants got their war bear).
This EXACT scene happened, the first night. One Tauren Shaman killed, no exxageration, at least 50 of us, in the course of like 6 seconds. We weren't even mad - we all laughed our asses off in the giant raid vent.
So... whether this specific video is staged or not I have no idea. But I think some people have FRAPS of when it happened to us. In fact this could BE us, for all I know. The scene looks identical.
Oct 17th 2008 4:41PM This article is littered with errors and bad advice:
1) You almost certainly won't be able to kill the guards. They're level 75 now.
2) There's no need to /sit when fishing, since /sleep will give you an even lower profile.
3) Ironjaw's droprate is generally agreed to be closer to 1/1000 - I've never heard anyone estimate it as high as 1/100. There's a rumor that his droprate was increased in 3.0.2 as a result of this achievement, but it likely still isn't 1/100.
4) YOUR FISHING SKILL LEVEL HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. The author's advice to bring lures or other skill-increasing items makes literally no sense.
Oct 13th 2008 2:17PM Is low-level quest tracking included in 3.0.2? I'd love to go back and do the starter quests from the other 1-10 zones pre-LK, as once the expac drops there will be too much else to do to bother. :)
Oct 9th 2008 7:10PM I haaaaated leveling fishing, in the beginning. Every time I would start grinding skill-ups I would ask myself (and ask Gchat) "Why am I doing this? I must be a glutton for punishment."
But now, fishing is one of my favorite WoW activities.
What changed? I hit skill 300, and started doing the fishing daily to gain skill-ups, instead of grinding in IF. Now, I gain 2 skill points a day doing the daily, and it only takes me about 5 minutes. At this rate, I'll hit 375 just as Wrath drops. Only fishing for the daily made the skill into a nice bit of WoW flavor, and made it into something rewarding, instead of something boring.

Sep 30th 2008 7:23PM I'm IN the beta but have a question (I'm too lazy to look around to answer it for myself) -
Is there an easy way to get from Northrend to Outland (and back)? A portal from Dalaran to Shattrah, or something? Everyone does it in WoW now by keeping Hearth set to Outland, but that won't work with us all questing in Northrend...
Sep 24th 2008 2:43PM On my home server (Alleria) the best guild name is probably "I Have Slain the Rancor" - I've always gotten a kick out of it.
Jun 7th 2008 4:53PM If heroic versions of all the old-world dungeons were created, what happens when the lvl cap is raised to 90, after LK? All that work would just be (once again) useless. For that matter, if heroic versions of the old world dungeons were created for Lich King, then all the BC instances would be the neglected ones. They would rot with their lvl 70 mobs while everyone ran the new stuff and the revamped old stuff...
Unless you expect Blizz to re-work *all* dungeons for *every* expansion to fit with the new lvl cap (with more and more dungeons to revisit with each expac), then you should just drop the idea, in my opinion.
May 22nd 2008 3:04PM Just wanted to echo the sentiments already posted - the Defias plotline is my favorite in the the entire game. I hope it isn't finished!
