Oct 23rd 2008 9:40AM Why are people who fight the zombies back getting voted down?
Priests, Pallies and Shaman fighting things back is totally within in the spirt of things. Don't whine! Embrace it! Get infected, hide, turn, mob up, zerg in, traget healers first, convert them, grow stronger, move on.
Oct 23rd 2008 9:23AM Good for us! I'm not on an RP server or anything, The Horde and Allies fight because it's Blue team vs Red Team.
And here I am, a Pally, loaded down with anti Scourge spells, which side is Blizzard nudging me to be on here?
Exorcise castable on players for the first time since original beta? What did you think I was going to do?
Oct 23rd 2008 9:11AM Me too! No one tells you to stop, they just stand there while you cast Cleanse on them 11 times, then all of a sudden the HATE tells pour in when they realise the area is sterile.
If someone had said: "Don't Cleanse me bro." I would have left it, why wait until I'm riding out to tell me I'm a hated nub?
PvP Trash talk ... JOY!
Oct 21st 2008 7:25PM When I did the quest my Guild sent in 4 level 70's with me. As a result, I didn't have to do the Blessing AOE thing, they just beat everything down.
My inner whiner wants them to change the look of the Charger slightly if you just bought it, just so getting it the classic way has something Unique about it. But honestly, if just buying one was avavlible for me when I was leveling I would have grabbed it with both hands and large smile.
Oct 21st 2008 7:01PM The cost items in the Charger quest is already around 600g, varies a little from server to server.
This makes getting a Charger a solo activity now, waiting until level 61 isn't much of a wait. It's bitter sweet that the quest line is being bypassed but I understand why. It's a chain that means visiting three instances and allot of back and forth to SW. 4 people have to take 2 to 3 hours out of there time just for you.
Apr 14th 2008 7:09PM If we do get local severs has anyone got a answer about what happens to people with Toons on Oceanic and US servers?
Apr 14th 2008 2:48AM Because Oceanics are only 9 servers atm. And lumping their maintance in with 200 other US ones is always going to be cheeper than any idea we can throw at Blizzard.
Taking a look at www.warcraftrealms.com it says our daily average (not peek) player base is around: 23,000. But their are more of us than that. When you first install your game your defaut Sever will most likley be a US one. I fell into this trap and have a 70 on Duskwood. I've met other Australians on there from time to time, plus ALL Oceanic Zone PRers players on US Realms.
Anyway my point is, although local servers will solve allot of our problems, it will cause a few painful divorces as well.
Apr 13th 2008 8:35PM Adam. I did not say you should be less level headed? Where did I say that?
The Forums do not, and never will, reflect the majority of players and complainers will always rise to top of any discussion. If this happened to the US we’d still have the same hysteria but magnified by a factor of 20.
And this article isn’t about WoW Insider reporting ongoing faults with Ocenaics (which would have been nice), this is an article about a blue post slapping some Oceanic players down for being whiners you adding “too true”.
If we hadn't had that controversy would the problems on Oceanics been covered of WoW Insider?
Apr 13th 2008 7:58PM It's easy to be mature about such things when they don't effect you directly. I think if all the US servers were is strife WoW Insider would be sounding allot less philosophical about it. In fact I've no doubt we'd be getting news flash updates on the topic.
The Oceanics are over still populated despite the two new servers this year, we don't get to play Tuesdays, we have latency and we don't have RP. Add on a protracted mantance problems and I can understand why some players are feeling like Oceanic's are the red headed step child servers.
Apr 2nd 2008 9:33AM Sadly all won't be hailing Thrall, and never will. You see, Azeroth isn't like a Western Democracy where what party you support is a largely a matter of ideology. It's a racial and regional divide.
The Alliance faction, for want of a better word, are going to take one look at Thrall’s Horde centric administration and take their bat and ball home. What is in it for the Alliance to support an executive which actively will marginalize them?
We’ve seen it in Northern Ireland and also in Iraq. Two factions that are antagonistic can’t be unified with a conventional ‘Most votes’ democracy, power needs to be shared or the violence will just continue.
Thrall is going to have to share power on some level with Proudmore and her allies or sectarian Militias are going to start fighting for the independence of their own provinces.
L2 build viable democracies.
