Nov 6th 2007 12:28PM For the hybrid issue, I have this to say. My first toon was a Pally, and I got him to 30ish. However, because of OTHER player expectations for me to be an uber hybrid, I quit playing him. I was new to the game, but I understood I needed to pick one Paladin role, so I picked tank. After being kicked from a PuG for not healing while tanking, I reconsidered my reason for picking a Paladin. I decided, maybe I just couldn't play one right and I rolled a hunter. I've never really looked back until I saw this article.
For a long while, I simply thought that I wasn't playing my Pally right... that it was my fault. Now that I am nearing 70 as a hunter, I know I was right in my singular choice. However, would I go back to the PuG rejections? Probably not. Its too bad other players see classes in their own misconceptions of their role's in a group. Hunters have their own issues, many of which I strive to overcome, but I know if I rolled again it would probably be a Paladin.
