Countdown to Wrath Giveaway: Day 1 - 60-day game time card {WoW}

Nov 12th 2008 12:43PM Hey, ho, to the comments I go, hoping to win, not having a chance, makes me do the want-to-win dance.

Countdown to Wrath Giveaway: Day 6 - 60-day game time card {WoW}

Nov 7th 2008 12:35PM This would come in handy!

Mythic makes one last case for switching from WoW to Warhammer {WoW}

Sep 19th 2008 6:11PM Picked up WAR yesterday and played it up to level 5. It was different, but fun. I really liked to open area "instances" that are public group quests. I also liked the power layout and the nearly instant healing and power regen out of combat.

Is it a total WoW replacement? Can't say until I've put some time in. Even having the beta for WotLK has only jaded me even more. Having a hard time believing it's going to be ready by November.

Or maybe I'm just bitter and disenchanted with my MM hunter and Ele Shaman to be excited in the least about WotLK?

BigRedKitty: Channeling Larry King {WoW}

Sep 17th 2008 4:08PM I noticed the same thing with my MM in Beta. Taking on one level 69 cost me nearly ½ my mana. Sure I switched over to viper, but do you know how long it takes to kill something doing 200-300 per shot? Not really happy with the results so far. And still nothing to address the amount of ammo/arrows we are going to be burning through. Give us regenerative pouches and quivers that refill over time.

I guess if I get tired of what is happening to my hunter I can always go play my elemental shaman, lol.

Arena Season 4: Everything we know about the brutal season {WoW}

Jun 24th 2008 1:53PM The biggest problem that arena causes isn't the tough ladder climb or gear/class balancing act, it's the bleed over effect from arena into Battle Grounds. I could work my azz off in honor for gear and still get slaughtered when I step into arena for the first time.

This is not the case with arena. If I can get my gear in arena, I can step into a BG and destroy people. So really, why waste my time with BG's? That's the bleed over effect. "I'm leet 'cause I plays arena cookie cutter!" Which is very sad, since I really enjoy BG's and have come to hate arena. i wish I could come up with some witty quote or stinging observation about blizzard, but I'm just feeling drained and S4 has just started.

Restarts and maintenance for Tuesday, May 20th {WoW}

May 20th 2008 12:57PM Once again, it's the Shadowburn battlegroup that is down for the count. Just fix it Blizzard, please. Band-aids are great for sticking to kids, not servers.

Tuesday morning maintenance {WoW}

Apr 22nd 2008 12:11PM Queuing up from Malfurion into battlegrounds was pretty horrendous last night. It was taking between 4-5 from clicking enter to actually seeing the BG load screen. They really need to do something about it, no more band-aids and bubble gum.

Drysc reveals more about season 4 personal rating changes {WoW}

Mar 21st 2008 8:04PM PvP and PvE are two completely separate creatures anymore. This is the standard we have to deal with now. I enjoy both aspects of the game and tend to pve and pvp, and on some days I enjoy one more than the other. I hear a lot of people talk about welfare epics, which is a natural attitude for someone who spent lots of long hours hoping for that one piece to drop, that's now equal or less than the season gear available. That is not what I'm going to comment about. This comment is for the "hardcore pvp'er" who currently have high ratings in arena and are of the mindset that "scrubs" at lower level should not be able to attain the same gear. This is where the current system we use shines. These 'scrubs' are new people just hitting 70 and wanting to start their pvp career. Are they then forced never to be able to attain the same level gear as the opponent who has participated in every season of arena? No, as that would be unfair, considering that those who play arena also populate the battlegrounds. Now, those who are new to pvp, or just starting have absolutely zero chance compared to those who have played long enough to have the current season set. Stop whining about new people being able to work hard and get their gear even though they're always one step behind, and continually outclassed. By your mindset, the only people left to pvp will be those currently high rated. Enjoy that long queue time.

Special maintance for some realms tomorrow {WoW}

Feb 26th 2008 11:13PM This is the Shadowburn battlegroup. Here's hoping they'll break our group up. It's the largest battlegroup and the most off balance. Out of the 18 servers, 5 are PvE. All the rest are PvP. BG's are a nightmare.

Totem Talk: A deep discontent {WoW}

Feb 21st 2008 2:48PM I have a 70 Elemental Shammy on Malfurion Alliance side. I can honestly say I feel as if I'm stuck at level 64. You must play your toon to the hilt to be viable in raids and PVP. No, I'm not asking for an easy button, but it feels like trying to blow up those long clown balloons after smoking a pack or two. You can do it, but you'll be gasping your lungs out with blue lips.

Now what do we have to look forward to? A nerfing on gear that is NOT easy to get from arenas for us (ele). Yeah, yeah, "shamans are OP" and "l2p noob". I remember getting my butt handed to me in BG's pre-BC by shamans. I also remember that the trade of Paladin and Shaman for Horde and Alliance was for balance. Balance...riiight.

I have parked my shaman and only bring him out for special occasions, kind of like the nice plates you use when company comes to dinner. They look nice, but are not for everyday use.

Stay focused my browbeaten brothers, our day will come. And glory shall surround us with cries of "Nerf shamans!"
